God is a Planner.

Day 39

Reading: Num. 3:1- Num. 4:49

As I read through the Bible my heart is being convicted afresh of my service to God. I was created to serve God's pleasure. To bring pleasure to Him in my service is to be my utmost desire and lifelong duty. Aaron lost two sons who were childless for having served a strange fire. Be careful that in serving God you don't serve a strange fire bringing a curse to yourself of not only of death but also not having a posterity.

As a priest, we are called to serve the needs of the High Priest and the people. These are two services which today is rarely fulfilled by many believers. Don't become the believer who only wants to serve their own needs before God. You and I are called to serve the High Priest and the people.

When the census took place every male was counted from 20 years of age. However, for the Levites, God instructed that from a month old every male was to be counted. The principle of redemption is displayed in the manner in which God tells Moses that the Levites would stand in the place of every firstborn. Every firstborn would give a certain offering to represent the tithe. A census of every firstborn male and livestock is undertaken and the Levites would stand in for the rest of the tribes. The redemption money was given to the High Priest. This was what Abraham did when he met Melchizedek the Priest who blessed him after he had given a tithe. Lot had just been redeemed from captivity. The tithe redeems the remainder.

When it came to service in the tabernacle, you had to be between 30-50 years. The specifics of when, how and who in the Law amaze me at how God is interested in order. God has not ordained us for chaos but to bring alignment between the pattern in Heaven and here on earth. To think that Moses kept receiving these instructions and they were to serve as a blueprint for generations shows how much God is a Planner.

Memory verse: Num. 3:44

Decree:

Father, I love You. I bow before You and declare that You are worthy to be worshipped. You are my Redeemer. You have redeemed me from sin and Your wrath. I yield my all to You, Lord. Lord, may I walk according to the plans You have for me. I decree that I will be in alignment with You regarding all that You have planned for me. I decree that my spouse, marriage, children, ministry, health, finances, well-being, business, career are aligned to Your Heavenly blueprint. May my ears be open to hearing the voice of God regarding His pattern for my life and those I am called to serve. I decree that as it is in Heaven regarding my life so it is here on earth in Jesus name. Amen

Now is....

Everyday I seek to share something that I have learnt through the daily reading. I make a choice to discipline myself not to write too much as we inundated with a lot of reading material. Feel free to add comments because that way we share and thus encourage one another to grow into the fullness of Christ. Today I am amazed at the fact that God will always remember His covenant and fulfill the promise. I want to list five words in the order they appear in one scripture that showed God is at work in our lives. Remembered : My God will never forget me. To be delayed is not to be denied as God will surely remember. God spoke and said to Sarah that He would return at the appointed time; at the right season!!! I do believe that we are in a season where we will see God begin to act on the promises that seem forgotten. Or better put in another way there is a resurrection of seemingly forgotten prophecies that is about to take place. Dry bones are beginning to take shape. Listened : No longer

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than

Dont Go Back to Egypt

Day 207 Reading: Jeremiah 42:1 - Jeremiah 45:5 When life's blows strike us our response matters more than we realise. Many believers today are in a place of bewilderment because life has dealt blows that have knocked the wind out of them. As a result, many are questioning whether God is still God. Reading the Book of Jeremiah I have been encouraged to trust in God at all times.  The remnant children of Israel upon seeing the King of Babylon conquer them asked Jeremiah to seek the mind of God regarding their desire to go to Egypt. The same pattern of thinking that their forefathers had in saying let's go back to Egypt was on display generations after. Many people don't realise the importance of right thinking. God delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt, to desire to go there for safety is a smack to God in the face! When faced with trouble don't allow the thinking of God helps those who help themselves send you to Egypt. It's a death trap! Man
