Two Tests

Day 56

Reading: Deut. 16:1- Deut. 19:21

Growth will always bring change. How you respond to change will determine the results you see. When the Passover was instituted the animal was slaughtered within each home. This is changed to now having the aminal sacrificed at the place where God's house would be located. This change was to ensure that focus on the Tabernacle was maintained as His Presence was there. The test of commitment was what the children of Israel faced. Don't allow distance to stop you from having divine encounters with God.

When we appear before God we are to bring an offering. Never appear before God empty. Bring a sacrifice of praise. Take an offering of thanksgiving to Your Maker. Give generously to the Most High. Take an offering from your sweat and give back to God. To appear empty before God is ingratitude. Ensure that what you give to God is not blemished. I once heard a story of a thief taking his offering to God and asking for God's blessing. Certainly, God doesn't bless what is not gained lawfully.

God set up a justice system where judges were to attend to the people using the Law. However, if no judgement could be made in a matter where blood had been shed the parties would seek God's mind. How I long for the days where the world will seek God's mind for the issues that afflict the world?

God can see where I cannot see. In giving the Law God also spoke of how kings would be chosen. The King that would rule over the people by the Law. The king was expected to write and read the Law so that he didn't miss the will and mind of God. By what standards do you govern your life, business, marriage, or career by?

Charles, understand that God is Your Portion. Walk as a priest with the awareness that God is Your Portion. This portion of inheritance from God is heavenly. Seek for the manifestation of God's portion in your life. You were not called to be a shame. God called you and me to show forth His glory.

The test of the prophet is whether what they say comes to pass. God assured the people that He would raise a Prophet for them in the land. There is a consequence for not obeying the revealed Word and that begins with God requiring justice for disobedience.

Don't remove the landmark of your neighbour. We have a responsibility to keep boundaries as they are. Don't be involved in any deal that will move the 'contractual landmarks' away from what they were.

A matter is established by two or three witnesses. Learn to seek two promises in the Bible to be witnesses of the promises of God in any matter you present to God. One witness is not enough for justice to prevail. Every false witness faced death in the Law. Lord remove every witness speaking against my life.

Memory Verse: Deut. 16:17

Decree:

Lord, I love You. I yield my all to You. I bring a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving to You. Lord, without You I am nothing. I surrender my all to You. Let Your glory flood my life. Lord, use me to enlarge Your Kingdom. I walk uprightly before all and bring glory and honour to You alone in Jesus name. Amen.

Now is....

Everyday I seek to share something that I have learnt through the daily reading. I make a choice to discipline myself not to write too much as we inundated with a lot of reading material. Feel free to add comments because that way we share and thus encourage one another to grow into the fullness of Christ. Today I am amazed at the fact that God will always remember His covenant and fulfill the promise. I want to list five words in the order they appear in one scripture that showed God is at work in our lives. Remembered : My God will never forget me. To be delayed is not to be denied as God will surely remember. God spoke and said to Sarah that He would return at the appointed time; at the right season!!! I do believe that we are in a season where we will see God begin to act on the promises that seem forgotten. Or better put in another way there is a resurrection of seemingly forgotten prophecies that is about to take place. Dry bones are beginning to take shape. Listened : No longer

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than

Dont Go Back to Egypt

Day 207 Reading: Jeremiah 42:1 - Jeremiah 45:5 When life's blows strike us our response matters more than we realise. Many believers today are in a place of bewilderment because life has dealt blows that have knocked the wind out of them. As a result, many are questioning whether God is still God. Reading the Book of Jeremiah I have been encouraged to trust in God at all times.  The remnant children of Israel upon seeing the King of Babylon conquer them asked Jeremiah to seek the mind of God regarding their desire to go to Egypt. The same pattern of thinking that their forefathers had in saying let's go back to Egypt was on display generations after. Many people don't realise the importance of right thinking. God delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt, to desire to go there for safety is a smack to God in the face! When faced with trouble don't allow the thinking of God helps those who help themselves send you to Egypt. It's a death trap! Man
