The Word Fulfilled.

Day 255 Reading: Luke 1:1 - Luke 3:38 Luke the author of the third gospel writes diligently seeking to show the reader of the validity of the accounts surrounding Jesus. The accounts are well researched by an inquisitive mind and thus when one reads the Gospel of Luke we find it contains details that give life to the accounts being told. With this in mind, we see that Luke writes the account of the birth of John the Baptist and that of Jesus differently from Matthew and Mark.  Both Elizabeth and Mary carried children that were of a divine mandate. Mary on hearing the message of the angel Gabriel submits willingly to be used of God. Elizabeth had to deal with the fact that her hubby couldn't talk because he didn't believe the word of God and was thus struck with dumbness until the day he named his son as heaven desired. Elizabeth encourages Mary to believe God because He performs or fulfils His Word. The more I thought on this scripture the more I became convinced...

Speak Carefully

Day 174 Reading: Ecclesiastes 5:1- Ecclesiastes 8:17 The Preacher in Ecclesiastes in his sermon was interested in every aspect of life. Solomon studied life and from it, he wrote this sermon. He urges that one be careful what words they speak in the House of God. Too many times we offer to God words carelessly. We get excited with being in His Presence either because of a message preached, an altar call or an offering being raised and never realise the effects of not thinking through the consequences of our actions in the House of God. God is not mocked and when vows are not fulfilled we equate ourselves with foolishness.  Words we have seen before carry power of life or death. It's important we understand what happens when we speak. One needs to realise that without words there can be no movement. Your words determine where in life you will be. Words either unlock destiny or deny access to greatness to negative speakers. Be careful that when you speak you don't an...

Promises to Hold Onto

Day 142 Reading: Job 5:1 - Job 8:22 Whilst going through adversity we are tempted to think that God is not with us. The enemy's agenda is to separate us from God. He assails our minds with thoughts of defeat and worthlessness. HIs attempt is to get us to waver in our faith and walk in fear. Once he succeeds in doing this, defeat is on the horizon except for the mercies of God. We have a responsibility to hold onto the promises of God to know them and know them for ourselves. Have a personal knowledge of the promises of God. When we magnify problems we become the problem. Notice when people talk about lack of money all the time they become broke people living broken lives. What you are seeing in that situation that is and how you address it will determine the end game result. Understand that when all you. perceive is trouble then you cannot see the promises of God. Job in the midst of adversity questioned why he was born. He began to curse his life and questioned the wi...
