Day 74 Reading: Judges 16:1 - Judges 18:31 The Word is to take precedence over all affairs and issues in life. God by His Word gives us lessons which teach us His values, principles, ways and dealings with man. The Bible is not a fantasy book, neither is it just a storybook. Study it, read it, learn it, memorise it and live by it. Yesterday we saw that Samson had a weakness which was left unchecked. He again 'fell' for a foreign girl in a town called Gaza, which means strong or fortified. The enemy desired to take Samson captive in the morning and before they knew it he at midnight arose and took the doors of the gates of the city to Hebron. It takes the Spirit of God to possess the gates of a city. May God baptise you and I with His Spirit that we may possess the gates of the cities of the nations of the world. Day 73: Reading: Judges 12:1- Judges. 15:20 Supporting our brothers and sisters is not an option. It's expected of us. However, the tribe of Ephraim were not happy that Jephthah went to battle without them. His answer revealed that he had invited them to fight alongside him however they had refused to accompany him. Walk in life knowing that sometimes the people you expect to help you are nowhere to be seen. Walk trusting in the help of God, not with the help of man. From childhood, I heard the story of one judge, Samson. Samson's parents were barren when suddenly they were visited by God with news of a child. We are not told the wife's name however, she was very sensitive to the things of the Spirit. This couple must have been one whose hunger for God was evident.
