God shows up!

Day 22 Reading: Ex. 17:1- Ex. 20:26 Walking with God will bring one to places where one is forced out of the comfort zone. I have found myself many a time in places where I needed water. Biology tells us that the human body is 70% water. A season without water is called a drought which leads to a famine. Many today are experiencing a famine because they went through a drought and didn't realise the need to learn to seek God for water in life. Only He can quench the thirst for life. God is the Living Water. His water is never ending! The challenges of life teach us to rely on God who alone is able to supply water for a living. The children of Israel soon saw Moses use his rod to strike the rock for water. Horeb was a place of encounter. A place where Moses met God. It was a desert a dry place. thus the children of Israel did need water however it was the manner of the cry that angered Moses. Moses felt they tempted God. The Hebrew word connotes that they were throwing dow...

A Personal Walk With God

Day 4 Gen. 12:1-16:15 One of the tragedies of believers today is their reliance on others to hear God. As I read this portion of scripture my heart was filled with the conviction that we have forgotten to train believers to walk with God. This made me reread the entire portion with a different perspective as we are introduced to the covenant of God with Abram which I am a partaker of.  God instructs Abram to leave for a land that He would give to him. God is calling me to leave the land that I have dwelt in and move to the land He is giving me. 'Charles, as a child of Abram, the promise to be made great is yours.' God will make me great to be a blessing to the nations . Live, walk, think that God is making this a reality. Do whatever is required to make it a reality.Become what God has called you to be by transforming into the person who walks with the standards of God.  When God's hand comes on a person even the enemy can smell that they are untouchable. And God Remembered!

Day 3: Gen.8:1-11:32 God doesn't forget anyone. No matter the storm in life as long as I am in the ark of God's salvation God will not forget me. I love the statement that God remembered Noah. As I go through the year I will continually remind myself that God remembers me and will make a wave to blow the waters of the storms of life away making a way for me to walk on dry land. The raven and dove comparison makes me realise the value God places on me. My body is not the landing strip of anything that can land anywhere. Be a person who carries such great value to attract and keep value. The dove brought back an olive branch. We don't know what the raven carried. Value ensures you carry that which is worthwhile. Noah moved only on instruction from heaven. He didn't step out of the ark because he saw the dry ground. He moved when Heaven instructed him. Make every step when Heaven orders to see Heaven's blessing. Noah offered a sacrificial offering on leavi...
