Day 62 Reading: Josh. 1:1 - 4:24 On this third day in the third month we begin a new book in the Bible, Joshua. An interesting portion of scripture to read on this day.May it mark a new chapter in your life. Every day is a special day and God has a package of blessings packaged for you and I each day. It's our responsibility to receive it, open it and partake of the blessings. As I wrote this I kept prophesying to myself so please make it personal to you and take the land.  The book of Joshua opens with God calling him to arise and go over the Jordan and possess the land. As I read this portion of scripture my heart began to indite a matter. I suddenly was aware that as I read this book it was a sign that I was crossing to a new place. I believe God that I am entering something new and I want to invite every reader to enter a new place of not only intimacy with God but also a manifestation of His promises. Day 35 Reading: Lev. 21:1- Lev. 23:44 Serving God is what we are to live for. It's not the exclusive call of a few but for humanity. God made us to serve Him and that we serve Him wholly. The law was strict on what a priest was allowed to do. The priest was to carry out their life with total consecration to God. The priest was not to hang around dead persons. Defilement meant that as a priest you couldn't offer the offerings or partake of the bread. Yes, he could be there for close family members but not everybody. Charles, don't mix yourself with everyone and thus get defiled. God is to be hallowed before all men!  Live a consecrated life to be able to give bread to God. Don't live holy for the people but for God who makes me holy. A defect would disqualify a priest from serving in the tabernacle. Day 25 Reading: Ex. 28:1- Ex. 30:38 Dressing for the role conveys the importance attached to the role. Just like we see brides dressing in wedding gowns for the big day Moses was instructed to make garments for Aaron and his sons who would serve as priests. The garments were described as holy. And the purpose was not just to serve but they would show forth glory and beauty. God desires to dress us for glory and beauty. Holiness is a garment for glory and beauty. The priest on his shoulders would carry the names of the 12 names of the children of Israel. Learn to carry the children of God on your shoulders. Carry the burdens of people before God. Carry those you are called to serve and represent as a memorial before God. Today the believer is suffering from selfishness even in prayer. Charles, you are called a king and priest.
