Day 277 Reading: Romans 11:1 - Romans 16:27 What's on your mind? What do you think most about? What preoccupies your mind above all things? Your thoughts are important to God and yourself. You are the sum total of your thoughts. Yes, I know that sounds harsh but how you think will determine your life. Your thoughts give you a perception of life. How you think determines what you see. It's important to understand that if your thoughts are negative your life is negated. If all you think are problems then soon your life will only attract problems. Thoughts are magnets pulling the physical reality of our thinking. You will meet two types of people in life. Optimists and pessimists. Optimists see the bright side in the horizon always while pessimists never see good only the bad. Sometimes listening to a pessimist will make you realise that their attitude is similar to an ostrich that refuses to look up and instead buries its head in trouble. The question one must ask is...

Day 252 Reading: Mark 5:1 - Mark 9:50 What are you thinking right now? Do you know that your mind is always having conversations? Actually, science has enabled us to learn that we talk with ourselves mostly. We may not verbalise all the conversations we have internally, however, it's important to understand the implications of what is happening internally. Science has discovered that up to 90% of medical ailments are rooted in our thinking. Truly as Solomon said, as a person thinks so are they Proverbs 23:7 . It's not how you talk or walk but how you think that affects who you are. Our thoughts are important to God not just ourselves. Our thoughts have a big say in our lives. Jesus said that we speak out of the abundance of our hearts, that is we speak aloud from the inner conversations that condition our being Matthew 12:34-35 . Thoughts have a huge role to play in one's destiny. As a result I have been vigorously watching how I think. The realisation that my thoughts affect my tomorrow made me realise that I have the responsibility to think right and not just right but to think the God-kind of thoughts.  While meditating I began to go through characters in the bible who had to undergo mindset changes to see the miraculous take place. I across Gideon in the bible who came from being the lowest to be a leader Judges 6 . He came from behind to the front and all it took was acceptance of God's thoughts towards him. As soon as Gideon had adjusted his perceptions from the negative place of failure and bondage to seeing himself as God saw him he began to take the right steps forward in life. God's messenger greeted Gideon with an adjective "Mighty". Gideon didn't see himself as mighty but once he began to see himself as mighty he began to do the extraordinary.
