In the Beginning

Day 1 Reading: Gen. 1:1-3:24 Today marks a new beginning. As the sounds of happy new year filled the atmosphere, thanksgiving arose within my lips to say thank you for allowing me to see this new season. This year by God's grace I will blog my devotional notes. I am not seeking to give new revelations. I just want to encourage people to read the bible on a daily basis from my notes.  Many times we are amazed at the story of Creation. Genesis is filled with beginnings and principles that show God's order.  As I read Genesis 1 I got struck by the times God spoke then God made. Not only is God a God of the plan, however, He executes His plan with attention to detail. He not only decreed and declared creation, God also made creation. God is interested in the process. God is Mighty

Dear Friend, Listening to you talk recently left me asking God questions. As I listened to all that you were going through I was amazed at how strong you must be to handle all pressures you were facing. Whilst pondering on how best to encourage you, I heard a whisper inside me saying "God is Mighty!" God is so mighty that He even posed a question to Jeremiah: "Is anything too hard for Me?" Jeremiah 32:27. In verse 17 of the same chapter God had declared it that nothing is too hard for Him.  The more I reflected on this promise, I realised that whatever we are going through in life is to challenge our faith on the might of God. My friend, I may not be feeling the weight or burden that is on you, however I want to challenge you to move your eyes off the weight to the Burden Removing God that Jehovah is. How do I move my eyes to the Mighty God? Worship Him wholly and not in a holey manner. Remember the attributes of God and remind Him. Declare His name...
