Hallow the Name of God

Day 45 Reading: Num. 18:1- Num. 20:29 God's Kingdom is full of order. Anything that speaks chaos in our lives on meeting the Word of God is introduced to the order of God's Kingdom. Aaron and his sons were called into the priesthood while the rest of the Levites would serve in the Tabernacle and also serve the priesthood. The Levites were not to handle the things of the sanctuary.  Tithing is not just for the church member. Even the Levite serving in the Tabernacle was to tithe. God expects those serving Him to be tithers. The revelation of the tithe is be sought and understood. The tithe didn't begin in the Law. The tithe was in the dispensation of Abraham where he tithed to Melchizedek.  God expects us to give Him the best, not the remains.  Too many times we give God what is not the best. Sacrificial offerings are to be the best that we can give to God. Abraham gave Isaac. God expects you and I to give nothing but the best.  A red heifer that ...

Living Right

Day 34 Reading: Lev. 18:1-Lev. 20:27 Life will pull in many directions. I have a responsibility to stand against the worldly tide and stand firm on the principles and precepts of the Word. God expects me to keep His commandments irrespective of the environment. Lord, help my heart lean towards your Word alone. Sexual purity is of concern to God. The immorality of today, the lewdness of the generations today is concerning to God. God specifically tells the children not to take the habits of the world. The world today is undergoing a change and the standards that were held as right are no longer looked up to but rather frowned upon.  Sex has been sold everywhere and God never intended for this to be the case. As I read this portion of scripture it became clear to me that my attitudes towards relationships need to be aligned with God's views.  Have you thought about the effects of all this immorality? As I heard that question within myself it dawned on me that th...

Leviticus Begins

Day 29 Reading: Lev. 1:1- Lev. 4:35 Welcome to the third book of the Bible, Leviticus. This is one book that many times believers today just don't like. However, I don't think its there just to show us the Old Covenant. Every scripture reveals the mind and heart of God. As I read this book I believe God has great promises of life that will enhance my walk with Him.  Every offering was to God and had requirements. Notice that leaven and honey were not to be anywhere near the offering. The priests would remain with certain portions from some offerings. As I read through this portion of scripture I am also intrigued by the different specifications for what was to be given for an offering. For example, for a burnt offering only male animals of the herd without blemish would suffice. This wasn't the case with peace offerings where it was either male or female.  The sin offering was different. Notice the priest was to sprinkle the blood before the veil in the fro...

And God Remembered!

Day 3: Gen.8:1-11:32 God doesn't forget anyone. No matter the storm in life as long as I am in the ark of God's salvation God will not forget me. I love the statement that God remembered Noah. As I go through the year I will continually remind myself that God remembers me and will make a wave to blow the waters of the storms of life away making a way for me to walk on dry land. The raven and dove comparison makes me realise the value God places on me. My body is not the landing strip of anything that can land anywhere. Be a person who carries such great value to attract and keep value. The dove brought back an olive branch. We don't know what the raven carried. Value ensures you carry that which is worthwhile. Noah moved only on instruction from heaven. He didn't step out of the ark because he saw the dry ground. He moved when Heaven instructed him. Make every step when Heaven orders to see Heaven's blessing. Noah offered a sacrificial offering on leavi...
