Express Your Faith Through Praise

Day 238 Reading: Habakkuk 1:1 - Habakkuk 3:19 The Book of Habakkuk ends with a praise hymn where the prophet declares that even when things aren't working out he would still praise God. As I read the Book of Habakkuk and came to the conclusion I understood why he came to the place of giving praise because he couldn't see his desire. Humanely speaking we desire to give praise when we see good with our eyes. We give praise to those whose results are excellent. We praise employees who do well and we also give praise to leaders who bring joy. Praise in the context of today is given when something good is done. This, however, is not the way of God. Praising God is not about what God has done. Praise is about who God is. Praise extols the works of God. Praise declares the majesty of God. Praise declares who God is. David because of a lifestyle of praise moved from the desert to the palace. Praise moves you from captivity to freedom. Praise opens the door of victory. ...

Hope

Day 154 Reading: Psalms 41:13 - Psalms 50:23 One statement one keeps hearing many saying is "I hope so".  I hope to do well, I hope you receive good news are statements we make or hear many days. Hope is a commodity we trade through life. Without hope, our lives are in a state of paralysis. Hope is a driver of the soul.  Life is a journey that takes us through many challenges. Challenges that usually tend to becloud our vision hence our language becomes despondent and despair. Before long a person facing the fight of their life is faced with one question. It is a question of hope. It is hope that makes one believe that no matter the odds they will make it to the other side. I like saying hope is the bridge that enables me to cross from one side of the river bank to the other.  Hope is like an oar that keeps the boat moving when you cant see how or where but you know you have to keep rowing to get through to their destination you desire. David said that te...

Warfare For Manifestation

Day 118 Reading: 1 Chronicles 17:1 - 1 Chronicles 20:8 Do you know that God speaks? Yes, He does. God desires the best for you and me. When God speaks it is for our good. Once God has spoken we have a responsibility. That responsibility is to pray the promise into manifestation. God cannot fail in delivering His promises. God promises and delivers on the promise. The question then is why do we not see the promise fulfilled? Saul was anointed by God to become king and yet he never fulfilled the expectations. David on the other hand is regarded as the greatest king of Israel ever.  David on being established as the king and having secured his kingdom desired to build a house for God. He couldn't stand staying in a palace whilst God was in a tent. He expressed his desire to the prophet Nathan who tells him to do as he desires. However, that night God speaks to the prophet and sent him to David. David was instructed not to build as his son would build the House of God...
