New Heart, New Beginnings,

Day 221 Reading: Ezekiel 34:1 -Ezekiel 36:38 God has great things ahead. Oh, I can feel it within me that God has great things for me. As I read the scriptures all that came on me was a sense of a new beginning. God is interested in our well being. He desires the best for us.  Throughout the Bible we see God drawing mankind to Himself. Declare the new season in your life. While reading today's passages I picked a few promises from God that accompanied the sense of a new beginning that weighed heavily on me as I read and meditated on the Scriptures.  God will give us good shepherds. Shepherd not just in the Temple but in nations. God promised that the reign of poor shepherds who only want to eat for themselves will come to an end and that He would appoint good shepherds whose heart is aligned to God Jeremiah 3:15 . God is the True Shepherd and will provide, nourish, nurture, and protect His sheep. He also promises to judge the sheep. Don't ever forget that Go...

God Speaks and Tests.

Day 6 Reading Gen. 20:1-Gen. 23:20 One of the joys of this new season is that God is constantly showing me that He is a speaking God. May God open my ears to hear Him continually. May my eyes also be open to see Him. We are introduced to Abimelech who takes Sarah and God immediately protected His own and defends Abraham by speaking to Abimelech. May God speak to those who have anything that is mine. Abimelech defends himself not by justifying himself but by reminding God of the people he, Abimelech, was the leader over and that they were a people who were seen as righteous. Charles be the kind of leader that God will seek to leave in authority even when you are mistaken genuinely in your actions.  Abraham was reprimanded by Abimelech, however, because of the instruction God had given Abimelech, Abraham left the place wealthy. There is a dimension of wealth that comes your way only as a result of God instructing people to give to you. This year get ready f...

Walk before God not Humanity

Day 5 Gen. 17:1- Gen. 19:38 'Charles, I am Elshaddai, walk before Me and be blameless. And you will partake of My covenant and I will multiply you. Today, I am changing your name to  fruitful in all things. No longer will you be called failure, useless, good for nothing, missed the plot person, nearly made it person! You will be known as and called fruitful in every area of life.' God's covenant working in me changes all things from negative to glorious.  God is a merciful God. We have no record of divine encounters between God and Abraham for 13 years. God then shows up and sets the standard for Abram. He also changes his name to Abraham. May every encounter with God result in transformational change. In the midst of an encounter be careful what you say. Notice that as God promised a son, Abraham didn't see how it would happen. All he was seeing was in the natural how it was impossible for Sarah and him to have a child.  Abraham laughed in the presence...

A Personal Walk With God

Day 4 Gen. 12:1-16:15 One of the tragedies of believers today is their reliance on others to hear God. As I read this portion of scripture my heart was filled with the conviction that we have forgotten to train believers to walk with God. This made me reread the entire portion with a different perspective as we are introduced to the covenant of God with Abram which I am a partaker of.  God instructs Abram to leave for a land that He would give to him. God is calling me to leave the land that I have dwelt in and move to the land He is giving me. 'Charles, as a child of Abram, the promise to be made great is yours.' God will make me great to be a blessing to the nations . Live, walk, think that God is making this a reality. Do whatever is required to make it a reality.Become what God has called you to be by transforming into the person who walks with the standards of God.  When God's hand comes on a person even the enemy can smell that they are untouchable. In the Beginning

Day 1 Reading: Gen. 1:1-3:24 Today marks a new beginning. As the sounds of happy new year filled the atmosphere, thanksgiving arose within my lips to say thank you for allowing me to see this new season. This year by God's grace I will blog my devotional notes. I am not seeking to give new revelations. I just want to encourage people to read the bible on a daily basis from my notes.  Many times we are amazed at the story of Creation. Genesis is filled with beginnings and principles that show God's order.  As I read Genesis 1 I got struck by the times God spoke then God made. Not only is God a God of the plan, however, He executes His plan with attention to detail. He not only decreed and declared creation, God also made creation. God is interested in the process. This year understand somethings will happen without any outside aid, however, also know that the process of making into the prophetic word is part of God's manifestation strategy. Notice that when it...
