Hallow the Name of God

Day 45 Reading: Num. 18:1- Num. 20:29 God's Kingdom is full of order. Anything that speaks chaos in our lives on meeting the Word of God is introduced to the order of God's Kingdom. Aaron and his sons were called into the priesthood while the rest of the Levites would serve in the Tabernacle and also serve the priesthood. The Levites were not to handle the things of the sanctuary.  Tithing is not just for the church member. Even the Levite serving in the Tabernacle was to tithe. God expects those serving Him to be tithers. The revelation of the tithe is be sought and understood. The tithe didn't begin in the Law. The tithe was in the dispensation of Abraham where he tithed to Melchizedek.  God expects us to give Him the best, not the remains.  Too many times we give God what is not the best. Sacrificial offerings are to be the best that we can give to God. Abraham gave Isaac. God expects you and I to give nothing but the best.  A red heifer that ...

Numbers

Day 38 Reading: Num. 1:1 - Num. 2:34 Welcome to the fourth book of the Bible, Numbers. It's my prayer that you are staying focused and are learning bit by bit. I am also having fun jotting down these notes. May we have encounters with the Word that are life changing. God instructs Moses to number the people. This was in the second year after leaving Egypt. You may wonder why? We are in the desert why take a census of males aged 20 and above of all tribes minus the Levites? Learn to count your blessings even when in transition. Learn to take stock of what you have before the next season. Be prepared for the next season and that will mean taking account of what you have where you are. A census would also help the children of Israel to see how they have grown from the time they left Egypt. One must learn to recognise growth even in the desert place. Transition doesn't mean you stop growing. The next instruction they receive was how the children of Israel would...

Divine Guidance

Day 28 Reading: Ex. 38:1- Ex. 40:38 Stewardship is another principle of God that runs through the bible. God expects us to be good stewards of His resources. An accounting system of all that was given was set up to give a proper account of all the resources that were given for the work. Transparency in the resources given to the work of God will lead to people trusting the work as wholesome not a corrupt idea.  Let your day begin with a meeting with God. God instructs Moses to set up the Tabernacle on the first day of the first month in the second year after leaving Egypt. The month of liberty would be the month they would set up the Tabernacle. My liberty is connected to my worship of God. The Tabernacle was to be dedicated to God most importantly.  The set up of the Tabernacle would enable the perosn on entering to sacrifice with a burnt offering which is a place of confession. They would then move to the lavar for cleansing. The priest would then move to th...

Priesthood and Incense

Day 25 Reading: Ex. 28:1- Ex. 30:38 Dressing for the role conveys the importance attached to the role. Just like we see brides dressing in wedding gowns for the big day Moses was instructed to make garments for Aaron and his sons who would serve as priests. The garments were described as holy. And the purpose was not just to serve but they would show forth glory and beauty. God desires to dress us for glory and beauty. Holiness is a garment for glory and beauty. The priest on his shoulders would carry the names of the 12 names of the children of Israel. Learn to carry the children of God on your shoulders. Carry the burdens of people before God. Carry those you are called to serve and represent as a memorial before God. Today the believer is suffering from selfishness even in prayer. Charles, you are called a king and priest. Carry the people of God as a memorial. Remind God His promises to His people. Not only was Aaron to bear the names on his shoulders however the breas...

Build According to Pattern

Day 24 Reading: Ex. 24:1- Ex. 27:21 Divine encounters will solicit a response to the clarion call from God to us. Moses read the words of the Law to the people and their response was affirmative and full of submission to the commandments of God.  God summoned the leaders for an encounter. The Bible says that they saw God; ate and drank with God. God never wanted the people to just rely on the encounters of Moses and Him. God desires that people meet and dine with Him. He so longs for the fellowship however many have adopted the position of the children of Israel which was to stay far and let another represent them. God isn't looking for people to represent Him to His children. God created man and woman to be in touch with Him. Notice that where God's feet were was defined like the very heavens in clarity. May God stand in all that concerns me making my life heavenly in clarity.  The glory of God descended on the mountain where God was meeting with the leaders....
