Divine Guidance

Day 28

Reading: Ex. 38:1- Ex. 40:38

Stewardship is another principle of God that runs through the bible. God expects us to be good stewards of His resources. An accounting system of all that was given was set up to give a proper account of all the resources that were given for the work. Transparency in the resources given to the work of God will lead to people trusting the work as wholesome not a corrupt idea.

Let your day begin with a meeting with God. God instructs Moses to set up the Tabernacle on the first day of the first month in the second year after leaving Egypt. The month of liberty would be the month they would set up the Tabernacle. My liberty is connected to my worship of God. The Tabernacle was to be dedicated to God most importantly.

The set up of the Tabernacle would enable the perosn on entering to sacrifice with a burnt offering which is a place of confession. They would then move to the lavar for cleansing. The priest would then move to the Holy Place where the Lampstand and the Table of Showbread were situtated on opposite sides and at the end was the altar of incense which was infront of a veil separating the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies where the Ark of Covenant was kept.

The Tabernacle and all its contents were anointed to be hallow before God. TO be anointed is to be set apart for divine use. God desires that our bodies be His Tabernacle where He dwells. Lord anoint me for Your use.

After Moses set up the Tabernacle and sets everything and everyone according to the plan of God, the Taberanacle is filled with the glory of God and not even Moses could enter. This tells me that there is a dimension of God that man cannot stand. Lord, unveil this dimension to me. The children of Israel only moved when the Cloud of glory moved. As long as the cloud rested on the tabernacle the people didnt move. This is divine guidance and shows how God desires to lead me as a believer. Notice that this cloud by day and fire by night was not just seen by a few but by everyone. The church needs to realise that God is waiting to reveal Himself to all not just a few! Lord guide me O thou Great Jehovah!

Memory Verse: Ex. 40:34

Decree:

Father, thank You for loving me. I submit my life to God and desire to be led of Him all the days of my life. I decree that my eyes are open to see God leading me. I decree that my ears are open to hear the voice of God leading me. I decree that I am a carrier of the glory of God. I exhibit the glory of God everywhere I go . I decree that I am the Taberancle of God. I am set apart for God's use and will only bring glory to God. Today I decree that every sin hold over me is broken as I am set apart for God's use in Jesus name. Amen

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
