Build According to Pattern

Day 24

Reading: Ex. 24:1- Ex. 27:21

Divine encounters will solicit a response to the clarion call from God to us. Moses read the words of the Law to the people and their response was affirmative and full of submission to the commandments of God.

God summoned the leaders for an encounter. The Bible says that they saw God; ate and drank with God. God never wanted the people to just rely on the encounters of Moses and Him. God desires that people meet and dine with Him. He so longs for the fellowship however many have adopted the position of the children of Israel which was to stay far and let another represent them. God isn't looking for people to represent Him to His children. God created man and woman to be in touch with Him. Notice that where God's feet were was defined like the very heavens in clarity. May God stand in all that concerns me making my life heavenly in clarity.

The glory of God descended on the mountain where God was meeting with the leaders. To the outsider, they saw a fire however it was the glory of God. May the glory of God be upon my life as a consuming fire burning all that is not glorious to Him.

God is a gentleman. He will ask our participation in all things thus the need to ask Moses for a specific offering to build the tabernacle. His request was specific to where He would reside. The people would have the Tabernacle before them to remind them of whom they were to worship. We live in a world where our attention is being fought for. We must make every effort to worship God alone. Nothing and no one should take the place of Jesus. God is looking for people to partner with Him as He desires to dwell in our midst. Charles will you partner with God to build His Tabernacle?

Moses then receives instructions about different aspects of the Tabernacle. I have read this passage many times and today I realised something I had never thought before. God began talking to Moses about the particulars of the tabernacle and the first port of call was the Ark of the Testimony. God didn't begin with the altar where offerings would be made or the outer curtains instead God began with the Holy of Holies. God is interested in my heart being the place where mercy sits. God desires that I be an ark of testimony. Moses would place inside the ark the Testimony that God would give Him. Charles, carry the testimony of God within your heart. Let the testimonies of God flood your inner man. In the Holy Place a lampstand that would constantly be a light in the inner place it was built. Notice it had 7 lampstands. May God's spirit flow through me from within lighting different dimensions of God's grace within me for His glory.

The curtain would be made of woven linen, blue, purple and scarlet thread. As I read this God reminded me that His desire is for me to represent Him. The curtain would be the outer dressing. Charles, be clothed in the righteousness of God.The blue speaks of the heavens, the purple shows royalty and the scarlet thread represents the blood of sacrifice. Charles, your life is heavenly ordained, for you are royalty and know the Blood speaks for you. Put on the robe of God which is righteousness.

Memory Verse: Ex. 25:8

Decree:

Father, thank You for being a loving Father. Your desire to fellowship with me is unrivalled. I decree that I will live for You and worship You alone. Come into my life and dine with me. I decree that my heart is the Ark of Testimony carrying Your testimonies. I am a testimony of God. I decree that my life is full of the doings of God. His hand upon my life results in testimonies daily. I yield my life as an offering to build the tabernacle of God.The oil of God flows through me. I decree that I am aflame with the oil of God flowing unhindered in me. May the righteousness of God in me draw men and women to God in Jesus name. Amen

Now is....

Everyday I seek to share something that I have learnt through the daily reading. I make a choice to discipline myself not to write too much as we inundated with a lot of reading material. Feel free to add comments because that way we share and thus encourage one another to grow into the fullness of Christ. Today I am amazed at the fact that God will always remember His covenant and fulfill the promise. I want to list five words in the order they appear in one scripture that showed God is at work in our lives. Remembered : My God will never forget me. To be delayed is not to be denied as God will surely remember. God spoke and said to Sarah that He would return at the appointed time; at the right season!!! I do believe that we are in a season where we will see God begin to act on the promises that seem forgotten. Or better put in another way there is a resurrection of seemingly forgotten prophecies that is about to take place. Dry bones are beginning to take shape. Listened : No longer ...

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Yesterday I wrote about obedience. What obedience opens our lives to is the operation of the blessing. By choosing to obey the Word we are choosing to open our lives to be blessed. The purpose of being blessed is not self ...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
