God has Your Victory

Day 21

Readings: Ex. 14:1- 16:36

God loves setting up the enemy for destruction! Pharaoh was set up for one final encounter that would terminate him. The last the children of Israel would remember of Pharaoh is God overthrowing him in water as God gains honour over Pharaoh. I have news for every enemy of mine, God is setting up your failure!

When the enemy approaches cry to God. Learn to wait on God. He is the Saviour and Deliverer Supreme. Yes, the situation may invite fear and cause one to tremble however remember that God is more than able to deal with the enemies.

As a leader understand that the people quickly forget the miracles of the past in the midst of adversity. This may bring stress which may cause one to fail. However, understand that as a leader one must be connected to the Source. The stress is simply seeking to disconnect you from the Source and if this succeeds failure is certain. A leader must be connected to the Source at all times. A leader is to walk in authority that calms the people causing them to shift focus to God.

'Stand still! Charles, learn to stand still in the midst of adversity for God is able. Don't fret and allow panic to set into your soul for doubt will cause you to faint.' Learn to not only stand still but to also see. What must you see? See victory! See the demise of the enemy. See the termination of bondage. See the end of an era. See the start of a new beginning of glorious happenings. You move in the direction of what you see.

Go forward. Don't stand in the valley. Go forward! One principle we need to learn in the midst of warfare is to go forward whilst standing still. Your inner man is to stand still whilst you carry actions that will take you across the Red Sea. 'Charles, you are about to walk on dry ground over what for your enemies is not possible and even unthinkable.' God is separating me from my enemies. God will cause light to shine for me however my enemies shall find themselves in darkness. As I stretch my hands to God, over every type of sea facing me, the Lord will cause the sea to turn back and I will walk on dry ground to safety. God will trouble every enemy that seeks to follow me through the path that God has made for me. What is impossible in front of me will give way and make a way for me to pass through. His angels fight for me removing the wheels of the chariots the enemy rides on! Notice that the Egyptians said that the Lord was fighting against them. Even the enemy will know that God is fighting for and with me!

God instructed Moses to stretch his hands over the sea. God could have caused the sea to part and brought it back. However, the supernatural requires my participation. God made man to fellowship and even when He is dealing with an enemy He still desires a working together in every situation. As Moses stretched his hands over the sea in the morning the enemy was covered by the water. Joy comes in the morning. The night before the children of Israel had an enemy behind them, mountains by the side and the Red Sea ahead, however, the following morning they had crossed the Red Sea and the enemy was no more. Many are about to believe God because of the works of God that will cause many to fear Him. In all the works of God sing praises and give thanks to God the doer of all things marvellous in our sight.

After crossing the Red Sea the people didn't have water. Don't be surprised that after a major intervention by God you encounter a place with bitter water. Bitterness is a test we need to pass to possess the land. The people cried that they couldn't get water. They complained against Moses. This complaint caused Moses to seek God for a solution. Learn to walk with God to be able to access divine solutions in the desert that is the world. Moses is asked to take a tree to cast into the waters and the waters would become sweet. Understand that only God has a solution to turn the bitterness of life into sweetness. God promises the children of Israel that if they walk in obedience to Him they wouldn't see the plagues they saw come upon the children of Egypt.

Our walk with God is to remove every form of reliance on self. The children of Israel had lived on the food of Egypt for years. They now were about to learn to depend on the Bread of Heaven. God needs me to stop relying on the food of Egypt and its taste. My life is to be fuelled by the Bread of God. Notice that if the manna was not picked early it melted. Learn to pick the Bread of life early. In the wilderness, God desires to change our lifestyle. Obedience to his commandments will open up the blessing.

Memory Verse: Ex. 14:13-14

Decree:

“I will sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; I will exalt Him. The Lord is a man of war; The Lord is His name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. The depths have covered them; they sank to the bottom like a stone.

“Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces. And in the greatness of Your excellence, You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; it consumed them like stubble. And with the blast of Your nostrils, the waters were gathered together; the floods stood upright like a heap; the depths congealed in the heart of the sea. The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.’ God blew with His wind, the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters. “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? You stretched out Your right hand; the earth swallowed my enemies.

You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation. “The people will hear and be afraid; sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia. Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling will take hold of them; all the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away. Fear and dread will fall on them; by the greatness of Your arm, they will be as still as a stone, till Your people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over whom You have purchased. You will bring them in and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which  You have made for Your own dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established.
“The Lord shall reign forever and ever.”  Ex. 15:1-18 NKJV (italics mine).

Now is....

Everyday I seek to share something that I have learnt through the daily reading. I make a choice to discipline myself not to write too much as we inundated with a lot of reading material. Feel free to add comments because that way we share and thus encourage one another to grow into the fullness of Christ. Today I am amazed at the fact that God will always remember His covenant and fulfill the promise. I want to list five words in the order they appear in one scripture that showed God is at work in our lives. Remembered : My God will never forget me. To be delayed is not to be denied as God will surely remember. God spoke and said to Sarah that He would return at the appointed time; at the right season!!! I do believe that we are in a season where we will see God begin to act on the promises that seem forgotten. Or better put in another way there is a resurrection of seemingly forgotten prophecies that is about to take place. Dry bones are beginning to take shape. Listened : No longer ...

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Yesterday I wrote about obedience. What obedience opens our lives to is the operation of the blessing. By choosing to obey the Word we are choosing to open our lives to be blessed. The purpose of being blessed is not self ...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
