A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

A Personal Walk With God

Day 4 Gen. 12:1-16:15 One of the tragedies of believers today is their reliance on others to hear God. As I read this portion of scripture my heart was filled with the conviction that we have forgotten to train believers to walk with God. This made me reread the entire portion with a different perspective as we are introduced to the covenant of God with Abram which I am a partaker of.  God instructs Abram to leave for a land that He would give to him. God is calling me to leave the land that I have dwelt in and move to the land He is giving me. 'Charles, as a child of Abram, the promise to be made great is yours.' God will make me great to be a blessing to the nations . Live, walk, think that God is making this a reality. Do whatever is required to make it a reality.Become what God has called you to be by transforming into the person who walks with the standards of God.  When God's hand comes on a person even the enemy can smell that they are untouchable. What Can You See?

Life has a habit of painting pictures in us that many a time are limiters to our progress. The struggles of life form bonds that tie us to pain and may in some cases cause us to go down on the path of life instead of taking flight into greatness. Abraham and Sarah were barren, in need of a heir, promised by God of a miracle but wondering when. Along the way they tried to help God which resulted in a mess. But all this time God kept encouraging Abraham to maintain the right picture of the promise being fulfilled and not being denied inspite of delay. Count the stars, see the sand, images that were to reinforce the picture of the promise God had given of a son. Moses in the desert, having run away from Egypt on the count of a crime, encountered God who changed what he had settled for life and gave him an assignment that was bigger than his dreams. God never gives you a task that will not require His help to accomplish. To accomplish the assisgnment of God, Moses had to first adjust the ...

Look and See Well.

What do you see of 2011? The answer to this question will reveal how you are going to prepare for the journey called 2011. This year has already been described as tough by politicians, prophetic by bible scholars, difficult by business leaders and challenging by a host of other people. Everyone basis their opinion of the outlook for the year based on an 'outlook' of life that is the foundation of their life. Many of us, on a daily basis, look at a mirror that gives us an 'outlook' of how we look before we step out into the world. To succeed today we need to have the right outlook. Seeing correctly is vital for the journey ahead. What you see ahead determines how you run the race. Look at the children of Israel. The left Egypt to go into their promised land but only 2 of those that left Egypt entered. their promised land. A conservative population of the Children of Israel that was led by Moses was approximately 1 million. The reason the others didn't enter the prom...
