Divine Encounters

Day 227 Reading: Daniel 9:1 - Daniel 12:13 We are living in perilous times. If in doubt just listen to the news. Hurricanes, storms, earthquakes, heatwaves are all abnormalities we see on earth. Planes disappearing, the crime that is at unprecedented levels in some parts of our world, drug abuse are just a few examples of the depravity we are facing. Many today are dealing with mental health issues partly because of the pressures many are facing. I write this not to mock anyone but the pressures today are unreal sometimes and when one is not grounded they can easily lose focus in life.  Daniel was captured from Judah and taken to live in Babylon. While there he kept studying the prophecies of God. He not only studied the education provided by the government but also privately studied the Word of God. We see he studied the books implying he was a student of the Word of God. In the process of studying, he came to the place of understanding. Daniel had encounters with hea...

Day 208 Reading: Jeremiah 46:1 - Jeremiah 50:46 Enemies, enemies, enemies, we all have them and hate them. Today lets see what God says about His enemies. Let's not confuse brethren as enemies for this is one plight today amongst God's children. One of the reasons we don't see God move today is because we have made our brothers and sisters our enemies when they don't fit our box. Many times I wonder what does God feel when we call His child an enemy and expect Him to move on our behalf. Even when God is displeased with His children He doesn't call them an enemy. When He judges His children and fights them He does so as a loving Father seeking to correct His children. Reading through Jeremiah we have seen God use nations as His tool of judgement against Israel. However, God also judged the nations for various reasons.  The first reason why the nations were judged by God is their idolatry. For a nation to think that they were greater than anyone else was ...

Day 134 Reading: Ezra 8:1 - Ezra 10:44 God's eyes are searching to and from for a person or people that He may show Himself strong for 2 Chronicles 16:9a . What are the qualities that we need to become a people who will rebuild the House of God on earth today? In the midst of all that you are doing here on earth understand that the clock in heaven is saying its time to rebuild. This is God's hour of restoration. We are being restored to be the House of God in all glory and splendour! Reading the book of Ezra there are 3 things that I have picked that are critical for the days we are living in. Preparation Ezra prepared before he set off for the journey. We read in Ezra 7:10 that he prepared for the task that lay ahead. We read that even before setting off for the journey to Jerusalem he prepared by gathering the required resources and authority to undertake the task at hand. Ezra didn't travel because of fantasy or fun. He travelled to Jerusalem knowing th...
