Day 153 Reading: Psalms 31:1- Psalms 40:17 The Book of Psalms contains many prayers covering different themes. As mentioned when we started reading the Psalms, the Book of Psalms covers many different topics. Today as I read the Psalms my heart was tagged to forgiveness.  Forgiveness is necessary for inner healing. Unless one forgives they cannot enjoy freedom or liberty in a relationship. Not only do we need to forgive one another we also need forgiveness from God.Man devises wickedness in his heart is a thought that constantly runs through the Book of Psalms thus the need to ask God for mercy. David reveals that there is a joy that is only known by those whose transgressions are covered by the Blood of the Lamb. Day 93 Reading: 2 Sam. 19:1 - 2 Sam. 20:26 The Bible is not a fantasy book. The Bible is full of principles that point towards the culture of the Kingdom of God. Don't read the Bible just to read stories. Study the Word to learn the ways of God. Imbibe the Word of God that you may become the manifestation God desires and designed you to be.  David while mourning for Absalom was reminded of the importance of not letting personal issues becloud the good of the majority. Joab told him that he needed to congratulate the warriors who had fought valiantly even though he had lost a son. Every leader needs to understand the importance of putting aside personal challenges and issues to maintain the good of everyone else. As a leader, you have to be careful that you don't allow personal matters to distract you from seeing the good others are doing for it can be costly to you and others as well.  David was a forgiving person. Day 16 Reading: Gen. 48:1-Gen. 50:26 Always remember the promises of God and learn to recount them to your children. Jacob had a personal encounter that led to the blessing of God over his life. May I have a definite divine encounter that changes my story! There is power in the blessing of a blessed person. When God's hand is on a person they carry a potency to bless generations altering generations. Jacob imparted a blessing on Ephraim and Manasseh moving them from one generational level to that of their uncles. He moved them to be in the lineage and the flow of the blessing that was from Abraham to Isaac to Jacob and would transcend to Jacob's children. Learn to decree blessings on your children. Convey the blessings of God to them. Ephraim had a double blessing. He moved from being the second born to the front. God will always lift that which is not primary to the top. One of the greatest issues today is unforgiveness . I believe it is the one reason why we don't appreciate one another. It is the reason many are disrespectful of others. If you ever listen to someone complaining about a friend who has hurt them you will rarely hear what they did wrong but you will hear everything about the other party. It's because unforgiveness acts like a blindfold obscuring your view of others and precluding your view of the whole. Friendship grows with friction, that's why tyres are made as such so that they hit the tarmac and produce friction on the road for a car to travel. As I have been reflecting recently about life I have realised that too many friendships are relationships that are servant based and not real friendship. You know those friends who call only when they are in trouble, but if you are in trouble they are no where to be found; what about those people who are your friends when all is good but leave when you are poor. ...
