Day 170 Reading: Proverbs 19:1 - 25:28 God is interested in the wellbeing of our lives. How we treat other people is something God looks at closely. How we treat family members, the words we speak to others, how diligent we are at work are all things addressed in the Book of Proverbs. One very important topic that is discussed in the Book of Proverbs is how the poor are treated and what our responses to their plight should be. We live in a world where we are becoming more and more self-centred. Where it is easy to never think of others especially with the work routines, bills we face and the dreams to build our castles we should never forget those who don't have. Christianity today is in danger of because of the selfishness of the believer. We have an attitude of 'me, myself and I' which is detrimental to the Kingdom of God. Overflow in Giving

Day 27 Reading: Ex. 35:1- Ex. 37:29 God gives generously and thus instructed Moses on the offering to be received from the children of Israel towards the building of the tabernacle. God's condition was a willing heart. Learn to give willingly. Learn to give not under compulsion from sweet words spoken to loosen your purse strings. The offering that God required was specific. God will always instruct on what to give. Those who came to give were both willing and stirred to give to God. Giving requires a willing heart. Lord, may my heart be that of a giver.  The people gave so much it was more than enough. Today we rarely see believers give more than enough. I believe one of the reasons why this is the case is because God's people are not where they ought to be in financial terms.
