Day 236 Reading: Micah 5:1 - Micah 7:20 Ever been laughed at when you fell down? In primary school am sure someone did. In today's world, we are prone to be laughed at when we make mistakes. In this day and age of social media, there are people laughing at one's mistakes whom they are not even acquainted with. The calamity the children of God were facing in the days of Micah reveals to us that their enemies were laughing at them.  In the midst of pain, God declares a Word that is so pertinent to this day and age. To the believer who is asking where is God, I have good news. To that person who's been mocked for what seems forever God has you in mind. God is a God of mercy and that's why even if you and I fall we will rise again. We may be sat in darkness, however, God is our light and He will lead us to the place of greatness. Day 208 Reading: Jeremiah 46:1 - Jeremiah 50:46 Enemies, enemies, enemies, we all have them and hate them. Today lets see what God says about His enemies. Let's not confuse brethren as enemies for this is one plight today amongst God's children. One of the reasons we don't see God move today is because we have made our brothers and sisters our enemies when they don't fit our box. Many times I wonder what does God feel when we call His child an enemy and expect Him to move on our behalf. Even when God is displeased with His children He doesn't call them an enemy. When He judges His children and fights them He does so as a loving Father seeking to correct His children. Reading through Jeremiah we have seen God use nations as His tool of judgement against Israel. However, God also judged the nations for various reasons.  The first reason why the nations were judged by God is their idolatry. Day 207 Reading: Jeremiah 42:1 - Jeremiah 45:5 When life's blows strike us our response matters more than we realise. Many believers today are in a place of bewilderment because life has dealt blows that have knocked the wind out of them. As a result, many are questioning whether God is still God. Reading the Book of Jeremiah I have been encouraged to trust in God at all times.  The remnant children of Israel upon seeing the King of Babylon conquer them asked Jeremiah to seek the mind of God regarding their desire to go to Egypt. The same pattern of thinking that their forefathers had in saying let's go back to Egypt was on display generations after. Many people don't realise the importance of right thinking. God delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt, to desire to go there for safety is a smack to God in the face! When faced with trouble don't allow the thinking of God helps those who help themselves send you to Egypt. It's a death trap! Man...

Day 124 Reading: 2 Chronicles 12:1 - 2 Chronicles 16:14 Every day I desire to see the victory of God over situations I encounter and I know that I am not alone in having this desire. We all want a good life, no a better life. And that includes having a state or level of joyous living free of the shackles of pain and evil. As I read the passage of scripture assigned for today, it dawned on me that God wanted to teach me different keys to living a victorious life. What made the 3 kings we are told about to see the hand of God? Firstly, walk with God all the days of your life. Rehoboam enjoyed God's goodness for a while before the ruler of Egypt came and struck a blow. Rehoboam was attacked because he departed from the ways of God after God had established him. Don't become the believer who seeks God in trouble and then when all is good you run away and forget God. Trouble will bring you back to God just like Rehoboam came back running to God when trouble struck.  ...

Day 18 Reading: Ex. 5:1-Ex.7:25 The fight of mankind is whom do we worship. Moses didn't go Pharaoh to ask for the people to leave Eygpt for no other reason except to worship God. Live a life that worships God and no one else. Pharaoh had no regard for God. When entering battle understand that the enemy has no regard for God. He tried to usurp God's order in the Garden of Eden so don't expect the enemy to play a fair game. Pharaoh soon made the working conditions for the children of Israel to be harsher than before. The enemy won't allow anyone to worship God without a fight.  As one sent of God understand that certain times before things get better they will turn for worse.   Moses was a man of prayer. When things got worse he went to the place of prayer. He didn't come up with the 10 things to get Pharaoh to like the children of Israel. He didn't collect an offering.
