Day 23 Reading: Ex. 21:1- Ex. 23:33 God loves order. The laws given to Moses reveal God's disposition towards order. The laws may have been on everything from day to day life however they reveal that God has sights on all that pertains our lives. The laws also show us how we are to behave towards God and one another. The laws reveal how much God hates unrighteousness. Freedom from slavery was important to God. None of His children would be slaves forever unless it was willingly. As God created the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th day,He desired that those in slavery also enjoy this principle of rest. Learn to walk in this principle in all matters. Understand the power of releasing others to their freedom. Understand the importance of rest to God. Even the land was to take a period of rest.
