Atonement

Day 33 Reading: Lev. 15:1- Lev. 17:16 Leviticus reveals some interesting laws. So if you had a bruise that had a discharge, some pus or blood you were unclean. What amazed me is that everything you came into contact with was also unclean. As I read this a thought came to me. In life we get so me bruises and the discharge may be in the form of anger, hate, bitterness, or unforgiveness and we don't realise that we are unclean and everywhere we go we pollute the surroundings. Charles, be careful of any discharge that may be in your life.  To be one who intercedes for nations requires we understand the responsibility and requirements. God instituted a day of atonement where the entire nation would come to Him in prayer and fasting and seek atonement for their sins. The priest would first seek atonement for himself before seeking that of the people.  As a believer, we must understand our responsibility to walk upright and to be holy. We cannot expect that we can cr...

Priesthood and Incense

Day 25 Reading: Ex. 28:1- Ex. 30:38 Dressing for the role conveys the importance attached to the role. Just like we see brides dressing in wedding gowns for the big day Moses was instructed to make garments for Aaron and his sons who would serve as priests. The garments were described as holy. And the purpose was not just to serve but they would show forth glory and beauty. God desires to dress us for glory and beauty. Holiness is a garment for glory and beauty. The priest on his shoulders would carry the names of the 12 names of the children of Israel. Learn to carry the children of God on your shoulders. Carry the burdens of people before God. Carry those you are called to serve and represent as a memorial before God. Today the believer is suffering from selfishness even in prayer. Charles, you are called a king and priest. Carry the people of God as a memorial. Remind God His promises to His people. Not only was Aaron to bear the names on his shoulders however the breas...

Wrestle with God

Day 10 Reading: Gen. 31:1-Gen. 33:20 When you notice that you are no longer favoured take note that it's a junction of life. Jacob must have been wondering about his uncle for God to give such a clear instruction of what to do. Learn to seek God always and to allow your heart to constantly be in the place of worship to allow God to speak.  There is a wealth transfer that occurs to the righteous. When one walks in covenant with God, wealth accrues with ease. Ease doesn't imply not working hard. Ease refers to the manner of acquisition. Jacob as we saw yesterday received wisdom that ensured he prospered. Wisdom from above brings ease to acquisition of wealth.  God speaks in many ways. Dreams are also a method of communication of heaven's agenda. Learn to note encounters you have with God. Notice that God reminds Jacob of the encounter he had when he was fleeing. God also reminds Jacob of the vow he made. Making rash vows is irresponsible and may God forgive m...
