I Am Complete

Day 287 Reading: Colossians 1:1 - Colossians 4:18 When Paul wrote the letter to the Ephesians he focused on Christ and the body. The letter to the Ephesians is about what Christ has bestowed on the body. Thus we believers discover that we are sat in heavenly places in Christ from Paul's letter to the church in Ephesus. However, to the church in Colossae, he focuses on Christ the Head. Notice that Paul prays for the believer to be filled with wisdom in both letters to the Ephesians and Colossians. We all need wisdom, however, divine wisdom is more important. One of the first things that Paul speaks about is that the believers in Colossae had a faith in Christ that was spoken of. As I read this statement the Holy Spirit reminded me of the importance of having faith in Christ alone. Many today have faith in people, things, money, a gift from God and forget that faith is to be rooted and grounded in Christ alone. Faith in anyone and anything else is bound to fail. The ...

Are You Profitable?

Day 199 Reading: Jeremiah 12:1 - Jeremiah 14:22 In business, the entrepreneur seeks to maximise revenue against low expenses to make a decent profit. The way in which investors seek information about a company they have invested in is an example of how God also looks at us to see where His investment in us is going. A shareholder will not be paid a dividend if the profits in the company are not good. The share price also gets affected fluctuating with the performance and the perceived future of a company. God has shares in us and we have a responsibility as the CEO's of our lives to run profitably to the glory of God. Jeremiah is asked not to pray for his nation by God. The reason was that the people had forsaken God. God stated that the people of Israel were not profitable people. God had invested much in them however they didn't give Him any returns. The land He gave them they had polluted it with idolatry and the people had forsaken Him. This is the state of man...

A Letter from My Beloved

Day 176 Reading: Song of Songs 1:1 - Song of Songs 8:14 Dearest One, Do you know how much I the Creator of the Universe, the One who holds all things loves you? I long for you more than the things you desire from Me. I long to see you in My Presence. I want to see the best in you more than you know. However, today I want you to understand My love for you. Learn to express your love for Me. You may see yourself as dark and not like others with whom I have a relationship with. Yet, I have chosen you. I long for you to know that I have covered you with a banner of love. Irrespective of what you have done or where you are coming from My Love is stronger than the forces fighting you. My Love is the greatest expression of My desire for you. In my love is a fragrance that rises and brings a fresh aroma over your life. I desire that you will hunger for Me that I may bring you to My banqueting house where you will seat in the presence of your enemies and eat all the delights of...

The Art of Warfare

Day 128 Reading: 2 Chronicles 30:1 - 2 Chronicles 32:33 Certain things are constant in life. One of them is that as long as you live on earth you will need to learn the art of warfare. Life as a friend told me is not fanfare but warfare. Life is a battle and the enemy will do anything to ensure you are not winning. The Bible has many testimonies of victory in warfare when the children of God have encountered the enemy.  Hezekiah not only restored worship in the temple by opening the doors he also had the people celebrate Passover. The Passover was instituted to be celebrated yearly, yet this had not happened as commanded. The nation had not celebrated Passover from the reign of Solomon a timeline of about 200 years had passed. The children of Israel had not enjoyed the blessings of celebrating the Passover one of them being that the nation would be reminded of the power of God in delivering them from captivity.  Sennacherib arrives in the land of Judah with on...

Berachah

Day 126 Reading: 2 Chronicles 20:1 - 2 Chronicles 22:12 While meditating on the above portion of scriptures hope was rising within as I realised that God is indeed more than able to fight for me. I don't know what is ailing you or contending with your well being. What I know is that God is able to resolve the crisis for good. King Jehoshaphat was advised that a great army was coming to fight him. Fear gripped him and he ran to God. He summoned the entire nation to seek the face of God. While he made prayer for salvation from the enemy the entire nation including children were together fasting in prayer. He understood that in trouble one should run to God. The king didn't run to other nations to fight for him. Nope, He ran to God. Run to God always. In the midst of an entire nation seeking God, a prophet arose who declared the counsel of God. The battle belongs to God. Always remind yourself that in every battle God is with you. The prophet even instructed where...

Battles and Victories

Day 46 Reading: Num 21:1- Num. 23:30 Do you face battles and wonder where God is? Settle it within yourself that God is the Man of War and no battles with God are a loss. In today's portion of scripture reading, we see different kinds of battles the children of Israel faced. Before I list the battles, a situation took place where the children of Israel complained. This took place just after they had fought a battle and emerged victoriously. They were discouraged. Discouragement if not handled properly can lead to complaining. A plague was released upon them where serpents suddenly descended on them and bit them killing many. They cried to God in repentance and God gave Moses a remedy. Erect a bronze serpent and all who look to it will be delivered. This was a prophetic picture that the Messiah who would come would bring deliverance and it was only accessed by looking at Him. Look to God for your deliverance from every bite of the enemy. Learn to focus on God even in th...

God Show Me Your Glory!

Day 26 Reading: 31:1- Ex. 34:35 Not only preachers are anointed by God. Please remove the disposition that only those in full-time ministry are anointed. God tells Moses of a gentleman who had the skill necessary to build the tabernacle according to the pattern Moses had seen. God tells Moses that He has called Bezalel. From today don't despise your office. There is an anointing to be applied to the office. See the office as the full-time ministry and the grace to excel and build according to the pattern of God and it will flow. God is more than willing to fill me with the Spirit in wisdom, knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. Every artisan would be involved in the project and God had given them the wisdom to fulfil the mandate. God will always guide on how to accomplish the task. Learn to wait on God and ask Him for instructions on who is to help with accomplishing the mission. Rest is important to God. He introduced rest as He understood its vitality to human...

Build According to Pattern

Day 24 Reading: Ex. 24:1- Ex. 27:21 Divine encounters will solicit a response to the clarion call from God to us. Moses read the words of the Law to the people and their response was affirmative and full of submission to the commandments of God.  God summoned the leaders for an encounter. The Bible says that they saw God; ate and drank with God. God never wanted the people to just rely on the encounters of Moses and Him. God desires that people meet and dine with Him. He so longs for the fellowship however many have adopted the position of the children of Israel which was to stay far and let another represent them. God isn't looking for people to represent Him to His children. God created man and woman to be in touch with Him. Notice that where God's feet were was defined like the very heavens in clarity. May God stand in all that concerns me making my life heavenly in clarity.  The glory of God descended on the mountain where God was meeting with the leaders....

Give me what is mine or I die!!

Day 9 Reading: Gen. 29:1- Gen. 30:43 Marriage is not to be entered carelessly. Jacob knew who he wanted to marry. He was willing to work hard for his wife. Notice that Rachel whom Jacob met him at a well just like his mother was met at a well. Be careful which well you meet your spouse or any relationship. Is it a life giving well or one that snaps life out of you?  Be careful when celebrating that people don't hoodwink you. Jacob was so happy that he was conned. He woke up the next morning and realised that he didn't get what he wanted. However, this didn't stop him from pursuing his dream. Don't allow the bumps and mishaps of life to stop you from making the dream real. Learn from Jacob who renegotiated his contract with Laban. Develop the skill to renegotiate in life when things don't go  your way. There are somethings in life I will only understand in Heaven. God cannot be questioned and His purposes are supreme and work together in all things. ...
