Walk before God not Humanity

Day 5

Gen. 17:1- Gen. 19:38

'Charles, I am Elshaddai, walk before Me and be blameless. And you will partake of My covenant and I will multiply you. Today, I am changing your name to  fruitful in all things. No longer will you be called failure, useless, good for nothing, missed the plot person, nearly made it person! You will be known as and called fruitful in every area of life.' God's covenant working in me changes all things from negative to glorious.

God is a merciful God. We have no record of divine encounters between God and Abraham for 13 years. God then shows up and sets the standard for Abram. He also changes his name to Abraham. May every encounter with God result in transformational change. In the midst of an encounter be careful what you say. Notice that as God promised a son, Abraham didn't see how it would happen. All he was seeing was in the natural how it was impossible for Sarah and him to have a child.

Abraham laughed in the presence of God as he received the promise that God was giving him. Laughter because only the joy of God can give you the capacity to believe God when the odds are against you. My season to laugh is here. I celebrate God who turns situations around ensuring that I move from mourning to laughter. Joy unlimited is my portion.

Obedience to follow God's instruction ensures that the covenant of God becomes a reality. Charles, circumcise your heart and you will see the covenant established.

Abraham was sensitive to God's manifestations. His walk with God was so personal that God would stop by his place for a meal before heading out to fulfill His mandate. Many times I have missed the moment for a divine encounter that births an appointed time because I was too busy to see God. Lord help not to miss moments of change that herald a new dawning. Walk knowing that nothing is too hard for God. Have an attitude that with God nothing is impossible. Don't just say it, walk it, believe it and let be engrained as your being as an operating software.

When your walk is personal and close nothing happens without God involving you. Abraham stood before the Lord. Purpose to daily stand before God. God desires to involve me in His business. The question is am I willing to pay the price to walk with God to see Heaven on earth? What is stopping me from living for God wholly and holy to see His purposes established? Abraham walked with God in such a manner that he could negotiate with God.

This picture of Abraham negotiating with God is the call to intercession. I have a responsibility to negotiate the deliverance of many on my knees. Many who are heading to eternal damnation need to meet the Saviour and that needs intercession. We cant give up on the family! Abraham didn't negotiate for Lot- that would have been selfish. He negotiated for what would please God, a righteous people!! Intercede on the right basis. Intercede knowing that God is the Judge of all the earth and cannot judge the righteous with the wicked! We find God's mercy at work that even though Abraham stopped at 10 the Lord saved 4 people though Lot's wife turned back.

God desires to reveal Himself to us that we may pass on our knowledge of Him to our generations. The world is in its state because many of our parents and leaders forgot God and handed down to us everything else other than the commandments of God.  God chose Abraham because He could count on him to be faithful to pass the covenant from generation to generation. May I be counted faithful by God to pass to my generations the living word of God!!

Don't allow the depravity of the world to define and defile you, Charles. Be careful where you set your tent to look at. Be far from the dainties of sin. Lot could recognize God's messengers however his family was lost. His wife looked back. Charles, be careful that your relationships dont make you look back to the world. Flee to the mountain of the Lord where God has ordained for safety.

Memory Verse: Gen. 18:14

Decree

Father, I decree that Your love and mercy towards me is never-ending. I repent of every place I have gone or made decisions that have not aligned with Heaven's agenda. My eyes are only towards You, Lord. As you delivered Lot You will send deliverers for my family and I. I decree and declare that nothing is too hard for Yahweh. I decree that every impossibility is turned around. I decree that I am walking into my appointed time for the manifestation of the promise of God. My name is Blessed as I carry the blessing of God, blessed to be fruitful, increase, multiply, subdue the earth and walk in dominion in all things in Jesus name. Amen.

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
