God is Mighty

Dear Friend,

Listening to you talk recently left me asking God questions. As I listened to all that you were going through I was amazed at how strong you must be to handle all pressures you were facing. Whilst pondering on how best to encourage you, I heard a whisper inside me saying "God is Mighty!"

God is so mighty that He even posed a question to Jeremiah: "Is anything too hard for Me?" Jeremiah 32:27. In verse 17 of the same chapter God had declared it that nothing is too hard for Him.

The more I reflected on this promise, I realised that whatever we are going through in life is to challenge our faith on the might of God. My friend, I may not be feeling the weight or burden that is on you, however I want to challenge you to move your eyes off the weight to the Burden Removing God that Jehovah is. How do I move my eyes to the Mighty God? Worship Him wholly and not in a holey manner.

Remember the attributes of God and remind Him. Declare His names decreeing with each name the meaning thus releasing the power associated with each one! Let it be a habit that you constantly declare the might of God as you declare His names.

Let me just share a few incidences of God's might. God is so capable of anything that even Mary didn't need a man for conception to take place. Sarah was passed child bearing age however God made her laugh when He gave her Isaac. God parted the Red Sea for His children and sank the enemy in it when they attempted to cross. The bible says that mountains melt at the presence of the Lord. The Word of God is replete with examples of God's might.

Let me end this letter to you by saying God is mighty over every situation. May you experience the might of God in ways and places you only imagined or fantasised about. God is Mighty!!

Blessings,

CK

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...
