The Door

Congratulations on arriving into 2012. This year I am getting set to walk into places that are closed to man but not to God. I am getting set for the best days of my life and know that I will enter places that will only be summarised as divine. You may wonder why I am so sure that I will enter places that man cannot get one into. Note the following incident recorded in the bible.

When Jesus resurrected He entered the room where the disciples were even though the doors were shut which meant no human being could enter John 20:26. Not only did He enter through the walls that were humanly impenetrable but he also ate a meal with them Luke 23:42-43. By virtue of the resurrection you and I are accorded certain benefits that bring us to divine levels. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave is also resident within you and I to give us life that sets us apart Romans 8:11.

This year anyone who sees Jesus as the Door and willingly enters through Him will breakthrough like never before. He is the Door of the sheep and all who enter through Him will partake of life John 10:7,9-10. I want to encourage you to see Jesus as the Door to every need you have in 2012 and watch as He opens the doorway of life to you this year.

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness.
