What Are You Hearing?

Words are powerful, in fact Solomon said that death and life is in the power of the words Proverbs 18:21. Your words make your life., but I have come to realise that for dreams to become real you have to speak what is within your heart and mind. Your words must be synchronised with your thoughts to produce the dream you desire. Nobody learns to speak without first hearing someone speak. We learn to speak from our hearing others speak. Listening to many people today I have realised that we have to regulate what we hear that we may speak aright.

Words are so powerful that when God spoke darkness backed off, Genesis 1:3. Jesus said that we would be judged by the words we speak; its words that hold the world together. Looking at the world today we can see the effects of bad words and great words. What you hear affects what you speak out. Spend time listening to words that are not life filled and you will soon bring forth nothing that is life filled, consequently if you develop a habit of filling your life not just with positive, creative, good words but with faith filled words you soon discover that every mountain will move at your word. What you hear will determine your values in life also. Determine to regulate what you hear as it will affect the paths of life you take.

Every word carries a spirit with it. It is either a life giving spirit or a death warrant. Be careful what you hear as it will either give you life or lead you to death.  The person behind the words spoken or sang transmits a spirit through their words. As God is light, when He spoke darkness could not comprehend the power of His words. Let the Word of God be what you hear always and allow it to build your life. Let the Word of God determine your value system and not the words of mere mortals. Hear the Word of God continually and not occasionally to see what you are hearing as God's plan for you become manifested.

Now is....

Everyday I seek to share something that I have learnt through the daily reading. I make a choice to discipline myself not to write too much as we inundated with a lot of reading material. Feel free to add comments because that way we share and thus encourage one another to grow into the fullness of Christ. Today I am amazed at the fact that God will always remember His covenant and fulfill the promise. I want to list five words in the order they appear in one scripture that showed God is at work in our lives. Remembered : My God will never forget me. To be delayed is not to be denied as God will surely remember. God spoke and said to Sarah that He would return at the appointed time; at the right season!!! I do believe that we are in a season where we will see God begin to act on the promises that seem forgotten. Or better put in another way there is a resurrection of seemingly forgotten prophecies that is about to take place. Dry bones are beginning to take shape. Listened : No longer ...

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Yesterday I wrote about obedience. What obedience opens our lives to is the operation of the blessing. By choosing to obey the Word we are choosing to open our lives to be blessed. The purpose of being blessed is not self ...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
