More Room

Welcome to March, the third month in the year. I have every expectation that this year will be glorious and exceptional not because of positive thoughts but because my thinking is fuelled by my faith in God. Studying the scriptures reveals that those who have faith in God have glorious outcomes no matter the circumstances they face.

Today while at prayer it became clear that God has every intention of making room for me in every place I am contending in life and was interested in my being fruitful in the land. God is concerned with every frustration that negates my livelihood as it restricts my fruitfulness in life. He is concerned because every frustration slows me down from fulfilling my purpose. As I meditated on the fact that it's God's desire for me to be fruitful I realised that God is not pleased in one who gives up.

Had Isaac given up he would not have come to a place called Rehoboth Genesis 26:22. God's desire for us whenever we face frustration is not to give up but to stir up within us a passion to press on towards the mark of the high calling that is only found in God. Let every frustrating road block that life serves only spur you on to greatness. Don't allow the hurdles and obstacles of life to detract you but instead use them as spring boards that open doors of glorious manifestations in life.

As you go through this month my prayer is that indeed you will say as Isaac said that the Lord has made room for me and I will be fruitful in this land. Get ready to bear fruit this month like never before.

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Yesterday I wrote about obedience. What obedience opens our lives to is the operation of the blessing. By choosing to obey the Word we are choosing to open our lives to be blessed. The purpose of being blessed is not self ...

Your Identity and Temptation

Day 245 Reading: Matthew 1:1 - Matthew 4:25 A new beginning is here. A new day; the new season is upon us. As we begin this part of this journey may I encourage you to know that your heart will be refreshed as we study the Word. May hope come alive in you. The Book of Matthew was written primarily to the Jews who were expecting a Messiah. The Old Testament contained promises of a Messiah who would save the people from their enemies and set a Kingdom that would be without end. Matthew in writing this gospel sought to show the reader how some of those prophecies aligned with Jesus.  As I read the portion of scripture today a thought struck my mind about Jesus, the temptations and the tempter. Satan wasn't tempting Jesus just using His needs but the enemy was using the same tactic he used in Eden. The devil doesn't have new tricks. In the Garden of Eden, he made Eve to question the Word and thereby her identity. When she conversed with the serpent the question of ...
