Guard Your Destiny

You and I are born for a reason. Too many people are living life as destiny helpers and never achieving their dreams. This year has been one where I have searched my heart and sought my Maker, the Creator, seeking light on the path I am travelling on. Many today are in tears because they feel that life has them bound and they cannot ascend higher whilst others feel as though there is a ceiling to which they cannot go above. We were born to shine not dwell in darkness!! We are more than conquerors when life is lived in line with God's purpose and design.

As the days have passed by over the last few months I have kept asking myself what is the secret to getting to the top? What must we do that we may live the life that shines brightly here on earth? What do you and I need to do that our lives may count towards affecting other countless lives? It all begins with asking what was I born to do here on earth. Every dream achiever begins by seeking their purpose before planning the journey to fulfil it. Over the last few days as I have reflected over my life more and more it has become clear that we must guard our destinies.

What should one guard their destiny from? A few examples of destiny stealers are prayer-lessness, not living in line of God's plan, negative thoughts, being surrounded by negative people, lack of imagination, carnal motivations, life's distractions, and many others. You and I may know of other distractions and may find ourselves dealing with some of them; don't take offence but make the choice to stop going round the mountain and pursue your destiny.

My encouragement today is to tell you to arise and pursue your destiny. Set your navigation system within you with a destiny called purpose or vision and begin to pursue it. If you have taken a wrong turning recalibrate your life towards your purpose. Let go of the past and face your future boldly with a heart of a lion armed with faith and hope, driven by a compassion that is divine, with a vision of a future that shines brightly. Refuse to be entangled in the affairs of life that cause many to wallow in the sea of stagnation and be known as one to walk in the path of an achiever. Let God's light illuminate your path and cause you to shine brighter than ever.

Now is....

Everyday I seek to share something that I have learnt through the daily reading. I make a choice to discipline myself not to write too much as we inundated with a lot of reading material. Feel free to add comments because that way we share and thus encourage one another to grow into the fullness of Christ. Today I am amazed at the fact that God will always remember His covenant and fulfill the promise. I want to list five words in the order they appear in one scripture that showed God is at work in our lives. Remembered : My God will never forget me. To be delayed is not to be denied as God will surely remember. God spoke and said to Sarah that He would return at the appointed time; at the right season!!! I do believe that we are in a season where we will see God begin to act on the promises that seem forgotten. Or better put in another way there is a resurrection of seemingly forgotten prophecies that is about to take place. Dry bones are beginning to take shape. Listened : No longer ...

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Yesterday I wrote about obedience. What obedience opens our lives to is the operation of the blessing. By choosing to obey the Word we are choosing to open our lives to be blessed. The purpose of being blessed is not self ...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
