Your future is bright!

The bible begins by declaring that God created the universe before telling us how darkness covered the earth. The story doesn't end there but God begins to speak light and life into being. Your life may so far appear to be like Genesis 1:1-2 but am glad that God set up a template of what would happen anytime darkness seemed to envelope our lives. He spoke into the darkness and said "Let there be light Genesis 1:3"; words that are still echoing even today.

You and I are not boxed in by the circumstances we face. You and I have the capacity to transform our environment using the God given authority that is inherent in us. At creation God decided that humanity would be made in His image and likeness(Genesis 1:26-28). Being made in the image and likeness of God makes me a copy of the Creator of the Universe. If He spoke into darkness and light covered the earth then as one made in His image and likeness I should speak into every form of darkness covering my life and see results.

The reason we don't see results that are God like is simply a question of our faith. To see God like results requires our hearts and minds to be united in faith in the ability of God to move on our behalf. I would encourage you to have God like faith to see God like results that we are created to see. Make the choice in the face of adversity to be God like in all you do and watch as your life begins to burst forth with glory. Your best days are ahead of you as long as you understand the power of being God-conscious and walking in it. May heaven and earth arise to toast you in celebration of your glorious future!!

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...
