All Of My Help

Life can be draining sometimes, especially when you have so many demands to address. In this fast paced world we live in its easy to lose focus on who God is to us. With all the shakings going on in the world either economically, politically, socially, or environmentally, its easy to just give up and begin to lose hope. As I sat and reflected on what is happening in this world God began to remind me that I need to constantly remind myself that all of my help comes from Him Psalms 121. He alone is My Maker and is in the business of making me as the systems of this world cannot do what He can.

What we are seeing in the world today is a shaking where everything that is not built on the foundation of God is falling apart. This is not the time to waver from one side to another; neither is it the time to just let life happen. This is the time to get closer to God like never before. This is the time to look to Him and no other. This is not the time to walk in life by how one feels in their heart but to walk according to the Word of God for it is a lamp to the feet and a light to the path of life Psalms 119:10

Let the days ahead be determined by the compass of the Word of The Helper Supreme. Let your world be held together by the Word of Life for we understand that by faith the world was framed and is held together by the Living Word Hebrews 11:3. Look up to God to access Divine help as looking around will only add to your frustrations. Let God be the pillar you hold on to always as holding on to anyone else is a recipe for disaster. Let your mind and heart be filled with the promises of God more than anything else, for His Word will surely come to pass and that includes His promises to you.

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
