Rise up and walk

Happy new month!! I woke up excited that I was privileged to see another new day and for that matter the beginning of a new month. It may be just another day but I woke up with a knowing within myself that I was standing at the door of a new season in my life.

One day Jesus stood in front of a man who lay on a bed waiting for an angel to stir the waters and instructed him to rise up and walk John 5:1-8. You are only one instruction away from a new season. More importantly, you and I can experience an encounter with God and see a turnaround of our fortunes. As I prepared in the morning, I kept hearing that this month will be a new beginning. 

Maybe the past has been tough;maybe you didn't see any movement or change in your circumstances; I have news for you. A new season of glory lies ahead of you. No record is in the bible of this man praying or calling on Jesus to resolve his case. May this month bring unexpected miracles of joy in your direction. Have your ears open to hear the instructions that will change your season. Be attentive to the One who is capable of changing your season. Most importantly, enjoy the new season for a new day of peace and joy is here for you in all that pertains to you.

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness.
