Get Ready

I woke up today very aware that God is not dead. Just because there are challenges to face does not mean He has forgotten you. One thing that this age we are living in will do is to test our hearts. The main question we have to answer is "Are we living our own purpose and plan or are we living in accordance to the plan and purposes of God?". Many today don't know that they are selfish in their living as they are chasing their own dream and not God's plan. Our thoughts are not His thoughts and neither are our ways His way Isaiah 55:8. Fulfilment is only found in living His dream plans.

Everyday we are faced with a choice; a test of faith where everyday you and I are invited to live life in a theatre watched by the world, satan and God. Your actions, opinions, values, words, all point towards where your faith really is. If your heart and mind are not synchronised with the word of God you will soon discover that your life is not responding as its facing an internal fight. Jesus made it clear that He came to give us an abundance of life whereas the enemy has made it a priority to side track you from the one true reason you were created John 10:10. 

I want to encourage you to arise and shine like never before Isaiah 60:1. You were not born a failure; your name is not rejected neither is your story unimportant to God. God has you in mind and has great plans for you Jeremiah 29:11. Arm your faith with hope from the precious promises of the Word of God that you may walk the route of an overcomer. Get ready to soar while others around chase you to know your God.

From the Pit to Safety

The news about the miners rescue has filled the atmosphere with a real lever of optimism. What began as a sad tale has ended well. As I have followed this story over the last 69 days I have had a few thoughts about some of the symbolism of this whole experience. In life we all will find ourselves in a pit (mine) of some sort.Thus the decision to see what I could learn from these great gentlemen. Firstly, they were miners. Do you realise that we all are miners in life? You may not mine for copper but as a lawyer you are mining legal matters that bring you profit. The world today is one where many feel as though life is beating them down. The different challenges we face in this journey called life have punched many down and out. The fuel price increases, the job cuts, economic recession in different parts of the world, government changes either through the ballot or bullet, governments going broke, floods, drought, to just but name a few things facing many in the world today. It's difficult to go to a party and you don't hear bad news relating to someone you know. The world is changing. The weather patterns are affected by global warming, societal values held by previous generations are being obliterated by the ones following, and guess what, life for many is a nightmare.
