I Will Make It

Many times in life we are constantly faced with decisions that require change. Adversity is part and parcel of life. One of the biggest challenges we face today is that the blows of life seem to be stronger and mightier by the day. While on the phone today I realised the importance of not just a good attitude in life but also the importance of maintaining the right perception.

The battles we face in life are about our inner vision. Your vision is where do you see yourself going. What plan does God have you? What purpose were born for? Why are you here? You and I were not born to drift around. I was born to fulfill destiny. That destiny is to worship God. That is the ultimate reason for creation. To worship Him and Him alone.

A distracted vision results in distracted worship. Distracted worship leads to a distracted heart, hindering the inner perception. You need the light of God to see His vision. You and I need to see life through the vision of God. It's only through the Word that we have light that can enlighten our darkness. The Word sets our paths alight Ps 119:105. Light is only received when the Word is allowed into our lives Ps 119:130.

Today I just want to encourage myself. I just want to massage my confidence in God. I just want to declare that no matter how sad life looks, guess what you and I if faithful to God, we will see the goodness of God in the land of the living Ps 27:13. My heart is settled that the Word of God is true and no promise that God makes will fail. what he has said will happen without fail Eze 12:25, Num 23:19. I am alive today because God favours me. I am ordained of God and have a purpose that will not be defeated. guess what if Job received a double portion for all that the enemy took away I will see my portion this year. Failure is not an option as God is not a failure. The Word of God has settled every issue I face and am settled that His way is the only way for success in life. I have purposed that my life will be a sweet fragrance to Him who created heaven and earth. I urge you to seek after Him and watch as He rains over you with righteousness.

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
