The 11th Hour

For many today we are in the eleventh hour in many areas of life. In footballing terms for many people the the game of life is nearly over; in fact we are playing what we call injury time. It seems as though only a miracle will save anyone from defeat.

As this month begins flood your heart with the possibilities if God. Get ready to see mountains move as you speak God's language of faith Mark 11:22-23. Part of the reason life is not moving is because our hearts are not filled with faith. Jesus said that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks Matthew 12:34 implying that our hearts are the nerve centre of what we say. As we are aware our faith filled words will move mountains but only if the heart is full of faith. Paint your mind and heart with pictures drawn from the living Word of God. Remember nothing is too hard for God Jeremiah 32:27. God created the universe including you making any challenge insignificant in its power to defy God.

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness.
