Get Set For Lift Off

Day 181

Reading: Isaiah 14:1 - Isaiah 16:14

God's word cannot fail. His Word is settled forever and is proven. Proven in that those who have taken a hold of the Word of God it has been a light and path. The Book of Isaiah is filled with prophetic declarations of God's word coming to pass.

God's word comes to pass because of His mercy. His mercies over you and I are a great reason why God cannot forget His covenant of love with us. God is good and is a loving God. His love means that even when we have done wrong and we are deserving of condemnation, we find that He is merciful and we are not consumed by our tormentors or oppressors. Instead, our captors will serve us all because of God's mercy. Whatever or whoever has tormented you, may God's mercy overturn the tables in your favour!

God has taken an oath and indeed He can swear by no one else but Himself. That which He has thought it will come to pass. God has thought of your victory, your restoration, your going forward and it will happen. Is there anything that can stop the thoughts of God. If Lucifer who thought himself highly and as thus was evicted from heaven being cut down to the ground because God hates pride how much will God exalt the one who humbles themselves and trusts in Him? Studying the Word is engaging in the thoughts of God. Pray back to God His thoughts and watch to see how He will fulfil them in your life.

A third reason why the Word must come to pass is that what God has purposed He will do He does. Pharaoh couldn't keep the children of Israel as much as He wanted because that which God had purposed was greater than the desire of the Egyptians. God's purpose is greater than any satanic engagement. God has great things planned and no one can outdo the purposes of God. Desire to see God's purposes fulfilled in every area of your life. You and I were created for a purpose Genesis 1:26-28. Let every purpose of God in creating you and I become real. Nothing can stop the purposes of God in your life except you deciding to not cooperate with God. God is not like nappier grass that is blown all over by the wind. What He purposes stands firm. Stand firm in His purposes and you will prosper.

Memory Verse: Isaiah 14:24

For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back?” (italics mine)

Now is....

Everyday I seek to share something that I have learnt through the daily reading. I make a choice to discipline myself not to write too much as we inundated with a lot of reading material. Feel free to add comments because that way we share and thus encourage one another to grow into the fullness of Christ. Today I am amazed at the fact that God will always remember His covenant and fulfill the promise. I want to list five words in the order they appear in one scripture that showed God is at work in our lives. Remembered : My God will never forget me. To be delayed is not to be denied as God will surely remember. God spoke and said to Sarah that He would return at the appointed time; at the right season!!! I do believe that we are in a season where we will see God begin to act on the promises that seem forgotten. Or better put in another way there is a resurrection of seemingly forgotten prophecies that is about to take place. Dry bones are beginning to take shape. Listened : No longer ...

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Yesterday I wrote about obedience. What obedience opens our lives to is the operation of the blessing. By choosing to obey the Word we are choosing to open our lives to be blessed. The purpose of being blessed is not self ...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
