God Will Be Gracious

Day 185

Reading: Isaiah 29:1 - Isaiah 31:9

God is a good God. It doesn't matter what your circumstances are saying God is good. God is by nature a good God. It's His desire that we enjoy His goodness in every area of life. The enemy has made it his responsibility to detract you from living the life of enjoying God's goodness. Get ready to enjoy the goodness of God for He will be gracious to you and me in this season. Get ready to see God wipe your tears away for He will be gracious to you.

Where you have been deaf in life God is opening your ears that you hear the words of the Book of life. The Psalmist spoke and declared that there are words that are wriitten for our lives Psalms 40:7. The time to hear what is written for us is now that we may walk in pathway of the written words according to the books of heaven. In times before you were deaf to opportunities that God had carved for you and thus you missed them. I announce to you that the God in this season is being gracious to you and me by opening our ears to hear the book of life. Do you know many read and hear the Bible and have no understanding? I decree that in this season you will hear and hear clearly the steps to take to possess your promised land.

The days of being blind are over because God's goodness will open your eyes from every veil or cover that has covered your eyes from seeing what God has for you and I. You will see out of that darkness in which your life has been mired in. I announce to what you couldn't see in the darkness will be illuminated. You will see the enemy that has been lurking in the dark shadows. Get ready to see the wealth of blessings that God has ordained for you. No more will the issues of life close your eyes to the promises and possibilities of God in you. Your eyes will behold that goodness of God in all that pertains to your life. When your eyes are opened by God you see what you couldn't see. I know that's obvious but recall Hagar who cried for water and God opened her eyes to see the well before her Genesis 25:19. Is it that she couldn't see because God hadn't opened her eyes to see His provision!

To the humble, I have news for you. God will be gracious to remember your humility. He will lift you and increase your joy in Him. God hates the proud but loves the humble person and opens the doors of blessings over them. Humility will open greatness which pride opens the door to a fall. That is why  God will ensure the scorners, mockers, terrible ones will be brought to nothing.

Memory Verse: Isaiah 30:15

Decree:

Isaiah 30:21
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. (italics mine)

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
