Day 190
Reading: Isaiah 45:1 - 50:11
God desires to lead us. God desires we place our trust in Him wholly for He will teach us to profit. In leading us we live by the promises of God. The Lord God has promised us that His Word cannot fail, that which He declares will come to pass. You and I are assured that we are inscribed in the palms of God's hands to signify how much attention God pays to us whilst protecting us from our enemies. In the midst of these wonderful promises, God will raise a person that He will use for His purposes. What promises can we take along as we are led by God?
Firstly, He has called us by name. The power behind your position is not the title but who backs you up. If you work for some corner shop and have the powerful title of CEO it may make you powerful. However, you are no match for the CEO of say Google. I have given this illustration to help you understand the magnitude of the call of God over your life. When you are sure of your identity and call of God in your life the rest is a breeze. You walk confidently knowing the roar of a lion within you is authentic and great.
Secondly, the anointing of God. We have already seen that God doesn't use anyone who is not anointed. Every king and High Priest in Israel was anointed with oil. This anointing sets you apart for divine purposes. King Cyrus was called and set apart for the restoration of Israel.
Thirdly, God will fight for you. Doors that couldn't open will open. God will cut through the bars of iron and break in pieces the gates of bronze. What God desires for anyone walking with Him is to know that there is no wall too high for God, no army too great to contend with God. God will subdue nations before you just to accomplish His purposes for your life.
Fourthly, you will access treasures in dark places, riches in secret places, the wealth you didn't know about. When God leads you He teaches you to profit. You will hear a voice saying a word of divine direction that will lead you to the place of promise. Treasures are not just in terms of gold or silver as portrayed in pirate movies. Treasures will include patents and hidden wisdom giving solutions to the problems of this world. When God leads you He guides you to secret locations. These are the places that hidden to the natural eye and not lying about everywhere.
Lastly, the person God leads enjoys having the tongue of the learned because of being awakened by God early in the morning to hear the wisdom that is divine. May I urge that you and I learn to meditate on God in the early morning. I am not just saying pray. No, learn to be still before Him and allow Him to speak to you.
Memory Verse: Isaiah 45:11
Decree
Isaiah 50:4
“The Lord God has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned. (italics mine)
