God, The Master Builder

Day 223

Reading: Ezekiel 40:1 - Ezekiel 44:31

Child of God, God's hand is upon you. Yes even in the nightmare situation you are faced with God's hand is upon you. I know that sounds far-fetched considering that when we are faced with challenges God seems far. However, consider that every challenge is a fire that purifies us removing every impurity that blemishes us. When we have that viewpoint we appreciate that God is with us. As Isaiah prophesied God is with us in the waters and even when we walk through the fire Isaiah 43:2. Why then is God's hand on you and me?

Firstly, God is building us His children into His temple. Ezekiel saw the temple filled with the glory of God. You and I have a role in the building of God. Ezekiel saw a vision of a temple that has never been built.

Secondly, God desires that we worship Him aright. God is rebuilding His people. No longer will the place of worship be defiled by having those who are uncircumcised of heart speaking to people. Only those who have cut a covenant with God will have His authority to stand before His altar. God is cleaning His House for the end is nigh. Get ready to see the power of God like never before.

Thirdly, God is building us that we may show forth His glory to the world.  God needs us to understand how Holy He is for the next revival to take hold. He required that the garments that the priest ministered in the inner court could not go out to the outer court. This requirement shows how much God expects we conduct ourselves. We can't defile the atmosphere of heaven neither can we contaminate heaven with carnality.

I want to see the glory of God. This is my daily cry. I live for this, that I may see the glory of God over all the earth Numbers 14:21. I am expectant and as I have read Ezekiel my heart has been challenged to get ready for a move of God. Get ready, you are about to see some great things happening in the earth realm. Heaven is about to invade earth.

Memory Verse: Ezekiel 40:4

Decree:

Ezekiel 43:2
And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory. (italics mine)

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
