The Blessing

Everyone wants the best. Everyday I see people striving to achieve something. The rat race in the western world has made people strive to achieve their dreams at any cost. We all want comfort in this life and many are willing to do anything to achieve success in life. My query with this approach is that many times God is not in it. Success without God is temporal resulting in a facade.

Success is wrought by people who have obtained the blessing of God. The blessing of God has the following results to list but a few:
  • It empowers one to achieving success.
  • Enables one to be a blessing to others.
  • Divine abilities are released through the blessing.
  • Your perception is different.
  • When God breathed into man he became a living being. The blessing brings life.
  • The blessing creates your prophetic destiny.
  • The blessing separates you from the rest.
  • The blessing opens the doors that seem shut for others.
  • The blessing grants favour.
Pursue the blessing of God and watch Heaven back you in everything you do. Indeed the blessing makes one rich and adds no sorrow Prov 10:22.

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness.
