I Am Called

Many times we face situations that cause us to doubt our identity. We are faced with onslaughts everyday that if not attended to can easily lead to a disheartened posture towards life. Life was not meant to be a place where we drown!! Life is a place for us to display the glory of God. Life is a place for me to show forth the goodness and mercy of God.

As we continue on the bible reading challenge we today begin Jeremiah. The first chapter sets a scene of the God's calling and ordination of this prophet. From the conversation that God has with Jeremiah, certain truths are set forth that am I am willing to embrace.

Firstly, I am called and ordained of God. My calling is not man-made but originates from the mouth of God. No one, nothing in life can change the fact that God has called me. I am ordained of Him for Him by Him. Secondly and importantly, my ordination was not decided when I showed up on mother earth. God had me in mind before creation. No life situation can overcome what God has already registered about me. I have a choice to make. Do I identify with the purpose of God or do I choose the plans of man? I choose the purpose, design, plan, ordination of God.

Identify the purpose of God for your life and see His power manifest His glory in all you do. Walk the path He has set for you and see Him perform His Word in power and might. Don't despise yourself. Don't allow any human limitation hinder your fulfilling the plan of God. Listen to what the Word is saying and see your life elevate into the supernatural realm. Proclaim the Word of God and see the God of the Word move on your behalf.

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Yesterday I wrote about obedience. What obedience opens our lives to is the operation of the blessing. By choosing to obey the Word we are choosing to open our lives to be blessed. The purpose of being blessed is not self ...

Your Identity and Temptation

Day 245 Reading: Matthew 1:1 - Matthew 4:25 A new beginning is here. A new day; the new season is upon us. As we begin this part of this journey may I encourage you to know that your heart will be refreshed as we study the Word. May hope come alive in you. The Book of Matthew was written primarily to the Jews who were expecting a Messiah. The Old Testament contained promises of a Messiah who would save the people from their enemies and set a Kingdom that would be without end. Matthew in writing this gospel sought to show the reader how some of those prophecies aligned with Jesus.  As I read the portion of scripture today a thought struck my mind about Jesus, the temptations and the tempter. Satan wasn't tempting Jesus just using His needs but the enemy was using the same tactic he used in Eden. The devil doesn't have new tricks. In the Garden of Eden, he made Eve to question the Word and thereby her identity. When she conversed with the serpent the question of ...
