Who Is In Control?

Everywhere you go today the question of who is in control is all over the airwaves. Are you in control of your finances, home, business, marriage, relationship or even self? Practically everywhere one turns today you will find people coaching, teaching, preaching, training, talking, writing, blogging about being in control. Great topic but I have serious questions with the foundation of alot of what people are saying.

The Word of God is clear that God is the Potter we are the clay. Life is to be lived in accordance to what the Potter wants. Control is in the hands of the Potter. Is this not the reason David said that power belongs to God? He stated that he heard this twice not once Psalms 62:11. The Potter decides what shape the clay takes. The clay does not instruct the potter what shape it will take. when the process Too many of us are telling the Potter what shape we want. Prayer has become a monologue where the Potter is treated like a servant with instructions of what we want. No wonder much prayer is unanswered.

For 2010 to be great, I am convinced that we must take our rightful position. This position is the place where we are malleable. It's a position of acknowledging that yes I am the created on a lease here on earth and to succeed I need the Creator aka The Potter. God is looking for a person who is not only willing but is compliant with His requirements. The Potter has issued instructions for the clay that when consumed they make the whole process of transformation easier. Allow God to be in control and watch how everything will line up in your life. give God the authority that actually belongs to Him and watch as He bestows glory on you as you subdue the earth.

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
