Book of....

My steps I believe are ordered of God. I believe that God had a reason in placing me on mother nature at a time as this. Studying history one may wonder how living in times gone by we may have fared but am glad I am alive today. I believe I have a purpose and reason to be alive today. I also believe that the Word of God is the best compass to show the way to the destination that we all seek.

In the book of Ecclesiastes we encounter Solomon through observation giving advise to everyone on the value of life. Not only does he recount that vanity of vanity all is vanity but he concludes that the whole purpose of man is to fear God and to keep His commandments. Life is lived in seasons. Solomon makes it plain and clear that to everything there is a season. The most important thing about this is knowing the mind of God to enable you to tap into the season that God has ordained for you.

God lives outside time. Humanity lives in time. God has placed eternity within our hearts, giving us the ability to key into the eternal purpose that He has ordained for us. By studying the Word you and I will come into the place of walking in the seasons that God has ordained for us. I would encourage you to spend time in the Word to possess the all that God has in store for you.

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness.
