Restoration

2010 is a year of restoration. I have not met anyone who is not looking forward to a glorious year ahead. We may be on day 8 out of 365 days but rest assured I am not diminished in my expectation that this year will be great, awesome, glorious, joyous, filled with celebrations, ground breaking, fulfilling, overcoming... the best I have ever had.

Many people talk of the suffering of Job, few ever speak of the double restoration that he received. I have made up my mind that in 2010 I will experience restoration in any area of life I have suffered. If God could do it for Job, then please move out of the way because I am next in line for God's blessing.

What does one need to do to see the results that Job saw? Firstly, make sure you have a relationship with God that is based on the right perspective. When your view is obscured you cannot make the right decisions. Ask yourself if you are walking with Him., the Creator of the Universe. Change your view of God from the punishing God to the One who is boasting about me., the All Wise Great I Am. Job first made his relationship right before God gave him counsel of what to do.

Secondly, learn to listen to Heavenly instructions. For Job it was to pray for others. Ask God for instructions on what you need to do to get into your Canaan-2010. When the children of Israel stepped into Canaan in the book of Joshua it was a moment of restoration. God was taking them back to the place of promise. Restoration will take you to the place where God restores you wholly to the glory of His name. The victory at Jericho was fought following instructions from the Captain of the hosts. What instructions is God speaking to you for 2010? Follow those instructions and 2010 will lead you into the place of green pastures, the place of victory, the place of greatness!! Prayer and the Word of God will help you follow the instructions of God.

May 2010 be your year of restoration. Once restored you will be able to soar to the place God had ordained for you. May your latter be greater than your former. Get ready to step into your more than enough place!!!

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
