The Plan

We are aware that to live life without a plan is to plan to fail. It follows that planning is key to success. Any event without a plan, normally called a program, leads to chaos. A program is usually a collection of thoughts that reveal the plan. A plan enables order to reign. A plan may also be called a road map to a destination. I have repeatedly written it and will continue to emphasis that the Word of God is the best road map to permanent success. God is not only to be called upon during a crisis. He is interested in you and I at all times. You were created for a purpose. Only a plan can enable you to fulfill the purpose for which you were created for.

In the book of Jeremiah we see God revealing His thoughts regarding our lives. His intention is clear. God's mind regarding our lives is that we are to abide in peace, in health, hope and wealth Jer 29:11. It is clear that the thoughts of God toward me are for my good. Is it any wonder David says that he would have lost heart unless he believed that he would see the goodness of God in the land of the living Psalms 27:13? He understood that God had great plans for good and not evil. Some people seem to think suffering is permanent like God. Please not that God's intentions towards you are for good and that includes that painful situation you are experiencing. While on this point, understand suffering is not permanent. God is permanent, including His intentions, designs, purposes and plans. Whatever circumstances you are facing are temporary and as long as you are holding onto the Word of God your change is on its way.

Thoughts make up the planning process. Thoughts paint a picture. An artist does not paint out of the blue. It begins with a thought. Use the Word of God to paint the right picture of your life. With the correct picture image in your mind you will produce the reality that the Word of God is. This is greatly affected by your relationship with the Word of God. The Word assures that your health is guaranteed, restoration from captivity, and guess what in the word one receives encouragement of the greatness of God. Indeed nothing is too hard for Him Jer 32:17. What seems impossible to humanity is possible to Him. Why? Jer 32:19 gives us a clue.

God is great in counsel. Need advise, ask God!! His advise will elevate you to the place of peace and well being. Not only is God great in counsel but He is mighty in works. His arm is not shortened that He cannot save. In fact God is so powerful that only He can bring you into the land flowing with milk and honey. Why is nothing impossible? Because He is The Lord, the God of all flesh, and it follows that whoever, whatever is troubling you or I is beneath Him.

For this year to go to plan I will encourage to make the Lord God your friend. He has promised that whoever seeks with all their heart He will reveal Himself and that is the door to greatness. I am challenging myself to spend more time than ever in the Word and in prayer. There I know God will be found, and 2010 will be glorious! Fill your mind with thoughts of God's Word and watch as the God of the Word becomes reality.

Now is....

Everyday I seek to share something that I have learnt through the daily reading. I make a choice to discipline myself not to write too much as we inundated with a lot of reading material. Feel free to add comments because that way we share and thus encourage one another to grow into the fullness of Christ. Today I am amazed at the fact that God will always remember His covenant and fulfill the promise. I want to list five words in the order they appear in one scripture that showed God is at work in our lives. Remembered : My God will never forget me. To be delayed is not to be denied as God will surely remember. God spoke and said to Sarah that He would return at the appointed time; at the right season!!! I do believe that we are in a season where we will see God begin to act on the promises that seem forgotten. Or better put in another way there is a resurrection of seemingly forgotten prophecies that is about to take place. Dry bones are beginning to take shape. Listened : No longer ...

Blessing or ....

To live well is one thing we all desire. I have never met anyone who did not want to live well. By living well for some people it means helping others. For others it means having a successful business. Yet for others it means travelling the world. I have discovered that it is not money that empowers but the blessing of God that empowers. Money is simply one of the many ways that the effects of the blessing may show up. Many times today in society we confuse money with being blessed yet people like Mother Teresa did not flaunt money but her life still is blessing many people round the world. The book of Deuteronomy has challenged me to desire to be blessed. Anyone who has walked with the blessing of God in their live has seen doors open that are a struggle for others. Yesterday I wrote about obedience. What obedience opens our lives to is the operation of the blessing. By choosing to obey the Word we are choosing to open our lives to be blessed. The purpose of being blessed is not self ...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
