It Came To Pass

We live in very exciting times. Not only is the world convulsing-earthquakes, wars, storms- but peoples lives tend to be unsettled quite easily. People have many concerns that add to the tension that life already is. We find that the daily rat race that society finds itself in does not have a cure for the problems ailing humanity. One thing I have come to appreciate is that God's plan is the best no matter the path one has to take to accomplish the will of God.

One thing that I find disrupts many peoples lives today is that their faith in the Word of God is almost non-existent. Today it easier to believe a fellow human being than the Maker of Heaven and Earth. It's easier to seek a friend than to chase the Creator of the universe. We spend more time studying about others and cant find time to meditate about the thoughts of God contained in the bible. Without faith in God and in the Word of God life is a tragedy.

I live an assured life because God has promised that what He has thought will come to pass. Think about this declaration. Whatever God has said to you, it will surely come to pass. It will happen if you believe God is faithful. Not only will God's thoughts become reality, but whatever purpose has in mind it will stand. The purpose of God is the salvation of man and this will definitely stand!!! No person will alter the purpose of God. God's purpose is one of goodness, mercy, love, life, health, wealth, salvation, abundance, protection, faithfulness, etc.

Faith in God and in His plans results in a peaceful life. When your mind is thinking, imagining, dreaming about the purpose of God, the result is one of peace. I want to encourage you to spend more time meditating on the Word of God and see how your life is transformed as you align yourself with the Word of God. As you meditate on the Word you enter a realm of it came to pass irrespective of where you are today.

A better tomorrow

Everyone is hopeful for a better tomorrow. That's why we say "Good morning" at the start of the day. It's an indicator of the hope within that welcomes the dawning of a new day to bring better fortunes our way. God's mercies are new every morning and His compassion does not fail. When faced with adversity it becomes harder to see a better tomorrow, but resilient people are focused on the fact that trouble is only a comma in the sentence of life. At a time where fear has gripped many hearts because of various reasons, it is difficult to remain hopeful. Without hope, you cannot have the faith necessary to live. Faith is the substance of what is hoped for. Faith gives hope tangibility. To be without hope is to open the door of low living. Hopelessness is the start of damnation in life. You and I were born for a reason. We are not just statistics, making up numbers in any particular nation. You and I were born to reign in life. That situation that has so far made...

Lessons From A Parable

Day 259 Reading: Luke 14:1 - Luke 16:31 The thoughts that God has for you are too many to be counted. Jesus while speaking asked the disciples if they knew the number of hairs that fall off their head? Jesus told them that God is so interested in the minute details about us that He knows when one hair falls down. God is so detailed about our lives because He is good. When you embrace the goodness of God by understanding that God's love towards us is immeasurable. Whilst reading today's passages my heart was refreshed as I read a very famous parable featuring the prodigal son.   Jesus tells us of two sons and a father. The younger son asked for his inheritance and left home leaving the elder son and his father.  The younger went to a faraway land and wasted his life. He soon was dead broke, deserted by his new found friends and looking for a job. He soon was working for a farmer feeding his pigs. His job must have been so mundane with low pay as he ate the food the...

Absalom's Treachery

Day 91 Reading: 2 Sam. 14:1 - 2 Sam. 15:37 One of life's most painful lessons is the treachery of human beings. When family or friends hurt you and leave you grieving the pain is not the same as when someone out on the street does something wrong. The pain goes deeper and it's easy to become bitter. Absalom had fled from Israel knowing that he was a wanted man for the murder and revenge on Ammon his step-brother. Joab arranged for a wise woman to go see David and get him to forgive Absalom. The wise woman made David realise that he was not setting a godly example by exiling Absalom. The wise woman made David understand that God will not banish anyone but he will seek the person out. God will do everything in His power to restore the banished person. The wise woman was asking David not to forget the grace of God that enables one to enjoy forgiveness. David gets Absalom brought back to Jerusalem however for 2 years he didn't see him. Now, this was worse than ...
